Or I can't break through the bottleneck, but I don't know where to review. After reviewing for a long time and spending a lot of time, I can learn a little here.
After learning a little there, I feel that I have learned everything, but I can't improve.
Reciting words and brushing questions may be ok for CET-4 and CET-6, after all, the poor translation score of the composition is not enough to pass.
However, when it comes to IELTS or the real needs, I find that I have studied for so long before, and it seems that I can only read the questions and stutter.
The compositions written are basically simple sentences. It can be seen that many students think it is a problem of vocabulary, so they begin to recite crazily. However, after the crazy memorization, they took the exam many times.
Still hovering between 5 and 5.5.
Why is this happening? In fact, the reason is very simple. Don't say 7, just say IELTS 6.5, and reach 6.5.
The contrast is wrong, but good! ! ! Use three exclamation points for important things. What do you mean? I believe that 80% of IELTS 5.5 students are unaware of the next point.
Because many students can still pass CET-4 and CET-6, they think it is impossible to pass IELTS 5.5 or feel unlucky. In fact, 90% is not bad luck.
It can even be said that it is basically not unlucky, but the level is really only 5.5, but we don't think so ourselves.
What is this point? In previous exams, we were basically required to choose ABCD. Although some of them are made, as long as you can basically express them, the scores are basically passable, not to mention.
Writing scores are not dominant, and most people naturally focus on reading and listening, but in fact our English level is relatively weak (on average, there is no absolute).
Take composition as an example. In the past exams, our writing level was basically: Tom is 25 years old, Tom likes playing basketball, Tom is in college ... and so on. If you don't believe me, you can go back and see if it's true, or write a composition immediately to see if it's all true.
This is basically a simple sentence. Imagine if a foreigner learning Chinese told you these expressions, would you think that his ability has reached 6.5?
6.5 Basically, the level you want to reach is: Born in a certain year, how old is Tom this year? After he entered the university, he decided to become a physical mechanic from an early age.
He chose physics as his study direction, and made unremitting efforts to finally achieve a series of influential results.
So when you are wondering why you can't hit 6.5 or higher, ask yourself first, have you reached this level of expression?
If not, what we need to do is to build our own expression ability, lay our own foundation first and do our own accumulation first.
Instead of memorizing words, this is not particularly meaningful.
Speaking of which, you may understand, but you don't know how to lay the foundation. In fact, what is the difference between the two examples mentioned above? The biggest difference lies in sentence patterns.
One is that some people always do it, and the other is that it is rich in levels, changeable in sentence patterns and highly readable, which makes people feel that the construction site is better.
The same is true of English. It's the difference between repeating simple sentences or enriching sentence patterns.
Then where can I find these sentence patterns? They are in grammar! ! ! Because grammar is to stipulate various sentence patterns, attributive clauses, adverbial clauses and so on.
After studying grammar for so many years, we only remembered his concepts, but we didn't realize that these were sentence patterns. We should accumulate and use these sentence patterns in our usual study.
Of course, if the foundation is weak now, and then look at grammar, it is estimated that it is also at a loss, or I don't know where to look, because there are so many grammars after all.
It is always impossible to read it bit by bit. Grammar must be the focus, so how to review these grammars is also very important.
