Gentleman Sculpture in Shantou University Reservoir

Speaking of the interesting history of this sculpture group, at the beginning of 2000, the directors of Li Ka-shing Foundation of Shantou University thought that Mr. Zhu Ming's delicate balance between traditional and modern styles was very compatible with the artistic and humanistic atmosphere of Shantou University, so they selected a group of "gentlemen" statues in the "World" series and placed them on the Sun Moon Lake of Shantou University, adding a new landscape to Shantou University. In the early summer of 2002, with the support of Li Ka-shing Foundation, Zhu Ming's bronze sculpture 12 was finally completed in Shantou University, Guangdong Province. Therefore, Mr. Zhu Ming made a special trip from Taiwan Province to Shantou University and attended the opening ceremony of Shantou University. He held solo exhibitions and lectures at the Art College of Shantou University, and Mr. Li Ka-shing attended the opening ceremony of Zhu Ming Sculpture Exhibition. This activity has further promoted the communication and understanding between artists on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and has become the focus of attention of the art circles and the press in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
