Henan Normal University is a provincial-level key university jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Henan Province, and has been selected into the training plan for excellent teachers and the education and training plan for excellent agricultural and forestry talents.
Henan Normal University was formerly known as Zhongzhou University founded in 1923 and Pingyuan Normal College founded in 195 1. 1952 after the abolition of Pingyuan province, the school has successively passed through the Second Hospital of Henan Normal University, Henan Second Normal University and Xinxiang Normal University. 1985, renamed Henan Normal University.
2. Xinyang Normal University
Xinyang Normal University, located in Xinyang City, Henan Province, is one of the two key undergraduate normal universities in Henan Province. Xinyang Teachers College was founded in 1975, formerly known as Kaifeng Teachers College Xinyang Branch (now Henan University). On 1978, it was approved by the State Council and changed to its current name. Mr Fei Xiaotong, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), a famous social activist and educator, praised him as "the cradle of teachers". In 2007, the school was rated as an excellent school by the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education.
3. Shangqiu Teachers College
Shangqiu Teachers College is located in Shangqiu City, Henan Province, a national historical and cultural city, the source of three businesses and the capital of Chinese businessmen. The history of the school can be traced back to 1905, which was founded as "Daozhai Middle School", formerly known as Yingtian Academy, the first of the four academies in the Northern Song Dynasty. In 2000, it was upgraded to Shangqiu Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was awarded a bachelor's degree in 2004.

A provincial normal university, located in Luoyang, is a civilized unit in Henan Province, an advanced unit for the employment of college graduates in Henan Province, and a pilot unit for the training of graduate students with master's degree in education.
The school's predecessor was Heluo Normal School, which was founded in 19 16. After the development stages of Heluo Normal School in Henan Province and the Fourth Normal School in Henan Province, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2000 and its current name was determined. 20 1 1 was approved as a pilot unit for postgraduate education, and 20 15 was approved as a part-time postgraduate enrollment qualification.

The school's predecessor was Zhang Defu anyang normal College, which was founded in 1908. 1949 was named anyang normal school in Pingyuan province; 1958 was renamed anyang normal college; 1960 was renamed Anyang No.1 Normal School; 1978 restored to anyang normal college; 1992 was renamed anyang normal college; In 2000, anyang normal College, Anyang Education College and Anyang No.2 Normal College merged to form anyang normal College.
