The state implements a grain purchase protection price system to ensure that farmers and other grain producers can sell it, compensate production costs and obtain appropriate income. The principle of protective price shall be determined by the State Council, and the specific level of protective price shall be formulated by the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and reported to the State Council for the record.
