Aluminum coil produced by aluminum casting and rolling mill is mainly composed of 1XXX series pure aluminum and 3XXX series antirust aluminum.
Aluminum coil of 1XXX can be rolled into cold-rolled plate by cold rolling mill or aluminum foil by foil rolling mill.
It is mainly used for structural parts that do not bear load but require certain characteristics, such as high plasticity, good weldability, corrosion resistance, high electrical conductivity and high thermal conductivity. Aluminum foil is used to make capacitors and gaskets.
3XXX is divided into two types: Al-Mn alloy and Al-Mn-Mg alloy. The former has corrosion resistance, good weldability, weldability, good plasticity in annealed state and low strength in H 18 state. Generally used in low-load parts. The latter has similar performance to the former, higher strength, poor cutting performance in annealed state, polishing ability and higher fatigue strength. Used for medium-load parts and decorations, oil tanks, gasoline pipes and cans (cans are not well made in China at present)
Moreover, it is often used in cookware, and 5XXX magnesium-aluminum alloy is the majority. Used for aircraft skin, skeleton, etc. It is difficult to produce this kind of aluminum plate by casting mill, but it is not suitable for casting mill because of its high production cost and low yield. You can use a hot rolling mill. I'm not familiar with hot rolling mills.
