4. Introduction to Attractions Shaohua Mountain Forest Park is located 7 kilometers southeast of hua county, Weinan. Located in the east of Guanzhong Plain, at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains. Named after Shaohua Mountain, a famous Taoist mountain, it is a provincial forest park. The park consists of five scenic spots: Huashaofeng, Qianlong Temple, Hongya Lake, Shimen Gorge and Dense Forest Valley.
Shaohua Mountain has been famous since ancient times, and it has been recorded continuously for more than 2,000 years, from the Classic of Mountains and Seas in the Warring States to the Modern Dictionary of Places of Interest in China. Ancient literati, such as Zhang Heng in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Qiao and Du Mu in the Tang Dynasty, wrote many temple poems and articles praising Shaohua Mountain. Many stories about the history of nine dragons in the famous Water Margin took place in Shaohua Mountain. Shaohua Mountain is one of the famous Taoist mountains in China, and it is called "Erhua" because of its precipitousness.
