Emotional Tutor is a profession approved by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China in April 2007. Under normal circumstances, college degree or above is eligible to register as a marriage and family counselor. Students of related majors and related employees can directly sign up for the exam. (Note: Related majors refer to sociology, law, ethics, psychology, education, women's studies, sexual medicine, social work, ideological and political education, etc. ), non-students need to register for study and training.
Candidates take the examination organized by the vocational skill appraisal (guidance) center of the local labor department, and those who pass the examination will get the emotional tutor qualification certificate and the national vocational qualification certificate. So far, most provinces and cities have only started three-level consultant qualification training and vocational qualification examination.
