Chery tiggo 5 recall information

From August 15, 2020, some Chery Tiggo 5 cars produced from July/3 to September/3, 20 17 were recalled, totaling 190352. Reason for recall: The main wiring harness terminal of vehicle engine ECU within the scope of this recall may be flooded or contaminated. In the case of high-pressure water gun flushing, high-pressure water will enter the ECU through the main harness terminal of the ECU, resulting in corrosion of the internal circuit of the ECU control unit. In extreme cases, the vehicle will not be able to start or the power supply will be interrupted, which poses a safety hazard.

Recall measures: Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. will install ECU waterproof cover for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and diagnose and check whether there is any fault in ECU, and replace the faulty ECU free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
