Since 2005, Reiko Shiota and Kumiko Ogura have stood out in international competitions and spread their dream wings to fly to the Beijing Olympic Games. In the 2005 Danish Open, she defeated Zhang/Zhang Dan of China and Ames/Clogg of Britain successively, and won the women's doubles gold medal of this five-star international competition for the Japanese team.
In the Doha Asian Games in 2006, Reiko Shiota/Kumiko Ogura met China's Yang Wei/bonita in the semi-final, and lost three sets.
