Historical Legend of Biluochun Tea

There are many beautiful legends about Biluochun in Taihu Lake, among which the story about the origin of Biluochun is the most popular.

According to legend, a long time ago, there lived a beautiful, hardworking and kind girl named Robbie on the West Dongting Mountain. The girl has a crisp and mellow voice and likes singing very much. Her singing is like a fountain, which brings joy to everyone. Everyone loves her very much. On the Dongting Mountain across the water, there lived a young man named A Xiang. He lives by fishing. He is good at water, fair, martial arts and helpful, so he has won the love of people far and near. A Xiang often heard Miss Robbie's beautiful and moving singing when he passed the West Dongting Mountain while fishing, and often saw her weaving a net by the lake. He fell in love with her deeply.

At this time, a dragon appeared in Taihu Lake. It asked people in Taihu Lake to burn incense for it, sent him a pair of boys and girls as slaves every year, and asked Robbie girl to be his wife. If it doesn't agree, it will blow evil winds, rain heavily, set off huge waves, uproot trees, destroy houses, overturn fishing boats, and make people in Taihu Lake restless. Xiang is determined to kill the dragon. He dived to the bottom with a harpoon in his hand and stabbed the dragon while it was unprepared. A man, Yi Long, launched an earth-shattering dark struggle. Finally, A Xiang killed the dragon, but he fainted because of excessive blood loss.

The villagers carried the young man who had hurt people home. Miss Robbie was very grateful because the young man killed the dragon and saved her from the disaster. She carried A Yang home to take care of herself. However, A Xiang's condition deteriorated day by day, and Robbie was very sad. In order to save the item, she ran all over Dongting, looking for herbs everywhere. One day, the girl found a small tea tree growing well. In the cold season of early spring, young trees have many buds, and there are many dark red blood marks around tea trees. The girl knows that this is the result of A Xiang's blood supplement. She cherishes this little tea tree very much and waters it every day. In the morning, I was afraid that the tea trees would freeze, so I used my mouth to hold buds one by one. A few days after the Tomb-Sweeping Day, the young trees grew their first tender leaves. At this time, A Xiang was in danger. Tears streamed down the girl's eyes. She came to the tea tree and saw green tea leaves. She thought to herself, These tea leaves are moistened with A Xiang's blood and grow in my mouth. I picked some leaves for A Xiang to soak in water as a token of my appreciation. So the girl picked a few buds, soaked them in boiling water and sent them to A Xiang's mouth. A mellow smell is refreshing. A Xiang, who had run out of food and water, felt refreshed, drank all the tea in one breath, and then stretched his legs and hands, regaining his vitality. The girl was very happy to see A Xiang well. She picked all the leaves from the small tea tree, wrapped them in a piece of tissue paper, and put them on Chiwu's chest to make the hot air in her body warm the tender tea. Then take it out and rub it gently on your hand to make tea for Xiang. After drinking this tea, Xiang recovered completely.

However, Miss Robbie is getting weaker day by day. It turns out that the vitality of the girl is all condensed on the tender leaves. After Xiang made the tender leaves into tea, the vitality of the girl could never be restored. The girl died with a sweet and happy smile. A heartbroken. He buried the girl at the top of Dongting Mountain. Since then, the tea trees here have always grown better than those in other places. In memory of this beautiful and kind girl, the villagers named this precious tea "Biluochun".
