lazy ant effect

The evolutionary biology research group of Hokkaido University in Japan once did an experiment.

Track three groups of black ants and observe their division of labor. It turns out that most ants are diligent and busy day and night. However, there are a few ants who do nothing all day and look around all day.

This kind of ant is called "lazy ant". Biologists are very curious about them. In order to observe their future fate, they marked it.

There was a link in the experiment that cut off the food source of the ant colony. When the expert just finished this action, something incredible happened:

Those ants who are usually diligent are in a mess at once, and they don't know what to do at all, just like ants on hot bricks … And those "lazy ants" are in no hurry, leading the ants to move to new food sources!

Biologists have finally discovered the truth: these "lazy ants" are not lazy, but spend most of their time on "reconnaissance". They seem to be idle and idle, but their minds never stop thinking. They always pay attention to the "strategy" of ant colony.

This is the famous "lazy ant effect": most ants run around the clock, but they can only solve the problem of food and clothing, making a general contribution to the group, while those idle ants can lead everyone to hope at critical moments.

Most people seem to be working hard, but they are actually "lazy". Because they have been trying to cover up laziness in their brains with behavioral diligence, or to cover up strategic laziness with tactical diligence.

Behind all the repeated mechanical efforts, it is just an inertial movement in behavior. Seemingly diligent, it is actually the result of lazy brain.

Without deep thinking, all efforts are in vain.

Without strategic layout, all deep thinking is in vain.

As the founder of an enterprise, we should always remember three sentences:

1, sharpen the knife and don't miss the woodcutter!

2, don't use the diligence of behavior to cover up the laziness of the brain!

Don't use tactical diligence to cover up strategic laziness.
