Brief introduction of Meizhou Bay port

Meizhou Bay is located in the central coast of Fujian Province, starting from the southern tip of Meizhou Island in Putian in the north, facing Keelung Port of Taiwan Province Province across the sea from Quanzhou Dongzhou Peninsula in the south, surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the mouth of the bay is open to the southeast. Meizhou Island straddles the bay mouth and nearby Shidao. It has become a natural barrier for Meizhou Bay. Meizhou Bay is about 18 nautical miles inland, with wide water depth, long coastline, wide navigation channel, small wind and waves, no siltation and no freezing. Dr. Sun Yat-sen described in the General Plan for Governing the Country: the conditions for the construction of Meizhou Bay in Fujian-"there are not many worlds, but there are few China"; Put forward: to build Meizhou Bay-"the first good port in the southeast". Meizhou Bay has developed land transportation, with two railways, namely, Quannan (Ning), Meizhou (Island) and Yongchun (Spring), and xiang tang (Putian) and Zhangzhou (Xiao Quan), which drive Meizhou Bay Port to open up a deep hinterland and Fuzhou (state) government (gate).

Meizhou Bay is the main port, surrounded by Hui Quan, Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, Hui 'an Economic Development Zone, Xianyou Economic Development Zone and Meizhou Bay North Shore Economic Development Zone, with a planned area of about 3 15 square kilometers. The new Meizhou Bay Port Area is divided into Xiaocuo Port Area and Dou Wei Port Area on the south bank of Meizhou Bay, Xiuyu Port Area and Wu Dong Port Area on the north bank. It mainly develops four pillar industries: Meizhou Bay petrochemical industry, Meizhou Bay Dou Wei shipbuilding industry, Meizhou Bay Xiuyu energy industry and Meizhou Bay Xiuyu pulp and wood processing industry. The total length of the planned port is 217.3km, including the planned port and the industrial coastline near the port. Both of them live in the interior of Australia and have the best port construction conditions. 50,000-ton ships can enter and exit freely, and 6,543.8+10,000-ton ships can enter and exit Meizhou Bay at low tide. There are many deep-water coastal sections, of which the water depth of Xiuyu in the north bank is10 ~16m, and Xiuyu Port is driven by LNG project, imported timber quarantine and disinfection treatment zone and processing zone, Tong Jia tire and other projects. The completed Xiuyu 35,000-dwt wharf, 6.5438+/kloc-0,000-dwt LNG wharf berth and 6.5438+5,000-dwt bulk cargo wharf project in Luo Yu operation area have passed the project review by the National Development and Reform Commission and the industry review organized by the Ministry of Transport, and agreed to be built as a 250,000-dwt ship. There is a tendency to develop from a world ore ship to a 500,000-ton ship. The main hydraulic structures of the wharf are actively seeking the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport. The water depth in the south bank is 10 ~ 20m, and it enters the bay for 5 nautical miles. Panyu, Dazhuyu, Xiaozhuyu and Xiao Shuang Island are arranged in northeast-southwest direction, forming a 65,438+100,000-ton oil wharf and Xiaocuo in Li Yuwei.

Realizing the integration of Meizhou Bay port system is an important decision of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and provincial government to concentrate resources and strength and accelerate the construction and development of Haixi port group. Meizhou Bay Port Authority will coordinate the development of the north and south coasts, the port development and the construction of the collection and distribution system; The construction of Xiaocuo Port Area, Dou Wei Port Area, Xiuyu Port Area and Wu Dong Port Area will focus on large-scale liquid bulk cargo, energy storage and transportation and shipbuilding respectively. Efforts will be made to build Meizhou Bay Port into a gateway port and transit base serving the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, serving the hinterland of the central and western regions, providing transit services for Taiwan Province Province, and facing the Asia-Pacific region, and becoming an influential main hub port for large-scale liquid bulk cargo transit, heavy petrochemical and domestic container transportation on the west side of the Taiwan Strait. At the same time, in order to speed up the development and construction of Meizhou Bay Port, Meizhou Bay Port Development Co., Ltd. was established with the approval of Fujian Provincial Government as an investment and financing platform to promote the development and construction of Meizhou Bay Port and the storage and storage of coastline in our province.
