In principle, Games-time volunteers who have been confirmed to be employed and completed the corresponding training shall not quit the Games-time volunteer service. Those who are unable to take up their posts due to special reasons shall apply for and obtain approval in accordance with the relevant management system of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.
According to the plan, the Organizing Committee of Hangzhou Asian Games will recruit about 52,000 volunteers. Volunteers are divided into general volunteers, professional volunteers and backbone volunteers according to the nature of their posts and service fields. General volunteers refer to volunteers engaged in order guidance, information consultation, reception assistance, cultural activities, logistics support and other auxiliary work. Professional volunteers refer to volunteers who have certain professional requirements such as competition service, language translation (including sign language and Braille), concierge reception, ceremony etiquette, information technology, media operation and delegation assistant. Backbone volunteers refer to volunteers who have strong organizational management ability and high work enthusiasm, are familiar with volunteer service, and can organize and lead volunteer teams to carry out their work.
