General situation of the scale of Sino-Dutch College of Biomedicine and Information Engineering in Northeastern University

The college implements the president responsibility system under the leadership of the joint management Committee, and the faculty implements the appointment system. At the same time, there is also an advisory Committee composed of famous experts and scholars at home and abroad to make suggestions for the future development of the college. The college has a doctoral degree authorization point in biomedical engineering, covering biomedical instrument research, medical image analysis and processing, biomedical information analysis and processing and other research directions. The college has four professional research laboratories: National Digital Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, Diabetes Bioinformatics Research Center and Computer Aided Diagnosis Research Center jointly established with the Netherlands, and Brain Science Research Center. In addition, Neusoft Group Co., Ltd. and Philips (China) Investment Co., Ltd. provided medical system practice bases and system integration practice bases for the college, and provided front-line engineers and technicians as guiding engineers for students' practice. The college has a scientific research and teaching team led by Professor Liu Yuqing, a famous medical imaging expert and academician of China Academy of Engineering, Professor Dai Jianping, a famous neuroradiology expert, Professor H.Romeny, a famous Dutch medical imaging expert, and Professor P.Hilbers, a famous Dutch bioinformatics expert. The college also has independent multimedia classrooms and activity centers, and will gradually improve its own teaching facilities such as distance education resource sharing system, computer room and language lab.
