Shanghai Shipping Exchange is the only national shipping exchange jointly established by the Ministry of Communications and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government with the approval of the State Council. It is an important measure taken by the China government to cultivate and develop the shipping market in China and cooperate with the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
