The application of 1 GIS/GPS will definitely improve the informatization level of logistics enterprises, and make the daily operation of enterprises digital, including the logistics equipment owned by enterprises or any goods of customers can be described with accurate figures, which can not only improve the operational efficiency of enterprises, but also enhance the image of enterprises and win more customers.
The combination of 2.2.GIS/GPS and wireless communication makes the transportation equipment flowing in different places transparent and controllable. Combined with the support of logistics enterprise decision model base, according to the actual storage situation of logistics enterprises and the real-time road information obtained by GPS, the best logistics path is calculated, thus guiding transportation equipment and reducing running time and cost. Using GPS and GIS technology, real-time positioning, tracking, alarm and communication of vehicles can meet the needs of remote control of basic information and management of vehicles, effectively avoiding the phenomenon of no-load vehicles, and at the same time, customers can know the details of their goods during transportation through Internet technology. For example, the vehicles collecting milk in grassland pasture broke down on the way, and traditional logistics enterprises often failed to find the faulty vehicles in time, resulting in the breakdown of the whole vehicle's raw milk and heavy losses. And GIS/GPS can solve this problem conveniently. In addition, human factors are ubiquitous, and GIS/GPS can effectively monitor drivers' behavior.
3. Promote the development of collaborative commerce through the coordination of logistics operation, and make logistics enterprises change to the fourth party logistics. Because logistics enterprises can obtain the specific location and cargo information of each vehicle in real time, logistics enterprises can use the concept of system to operate their business and reduce the no-load rate. With the transformation of this function, logistics enterprises can play the role of the fourth party logistics if they serve the supply chain. Logistics enterprises can accurately obtain the information of transport vehicles through wireless communication and GIS/GPS, and then make it accessible to internal enterprises and customers through the Internet, thus making the operation and business of the whole enterprise transparent and laying the foundation for collaborative commerce. The physical architecture of logistics enterprise information platform is shown in the figure. However, the integration of geographic information system (GIS), satellite positioning system (GPS), wireless communication (WAP) and Internet technology (Web) and their application in the field of logistics and supply chain management information technology are not fully mature in China. But I believe that with people's attention and technological progress, GIS, GPS, WAP and Web technologies will be combined to describe transparent logistics enterprises, reduce logistics black holes, enhance the competitiveness of domestic logistics enterprises, and gain a firm foothold in the upcoming logistics market.
