Among the railway trunk lines running through the north and south of China, the Beijing-Shanghai line, the Beijing-Kowloon line, the Beijing-Guangzhou line and the Liujiao line are intertwined with the "golden waterway" of the Yangtze River, with convenient land and water transportation.
Among the east-west railway trunk lines, the longest is the Longhai Line, which is the eastern part of the "Second Eurasian Continental Bridge", and Lianyungang is the east bridgehead.
