Xihu District of Hangzhou is an administrative area under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. Because the West Lake, an important scenic spot in Hangzhou, is located in this area, it is called "West Lake Scenic Area". The postcode of Xihu District is 3 100 12. The total area of the jurisdiction is 128.42 square kilometers, and it governs 12 streets with a population of 466,000, including many beautiful and connotative scenery.
The western and central parts of the West Lake District are relatively high, and the ridge strike is T-shaped, which is the remnant vein of Tianmu Mountain, mostly hills below 300 meters above sea level. The north and south are plains with rivers. Qiantang River twists and turns from south to north, Tang Yuhang in the north runs through the east and west, and a new canal runs through the north and south. West Lake Scenic Spot
"Hangzhou West Lake Cultural Landscape" consists of six elements, namely, the natural landscape of the West Lake, the spatial characteristics of the city and the lake, the landscape pattern of "two dikes and three islands", the theme of "Ten Scenes of the West Lake", the cultural relics of the West Lake and the characteristic plants of the West Lake. It started in the 9th century, took shape in13rd century, flourished in18th century, and has been inherited and developed to this day.
The total area of Xixi Wetland is about 1 1.7 square kilometers, and there are seven scenic spots, namely, "autumn deer flying snow, old traces of Gaozhuang, smoke from fishing villages, listening to music, boat meeting in deep pools, Xun Mei with winding waters and autumn colors of persimmon forests". Xixi Wetland is the only rare wetland in China that integrates urban wetland, agricultural wetland and cultural wetland, and it is also the first national wetland park in China. Xixi Wetland contains five cultural elements of Brahma, seclusion, vulgarity, leisure and wildness, and its zoning features are "seclusion in the south, vulgarity in the north, disturbance in the east and tranquility in the west".
