Qingjingtang was built in the fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. In the ninth year of Guangxu, with the approval of Governor Yulu, Mawang Temple and Sanqing Hall were rebuilt into Qingming Hall. 1988, the old city was rebuilt and turned into a Qingming Hall shopping mall, retaining the Huizhou architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
