The Bureau of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry is a public institution restructured from the State Agricultural Bureau and the State Animal Husbandry Bureau. It is the government administrative agency in charge of agriculture, rural areas and farmers at prefecture-level cities, county-level cities and counties in China, and is responsible for managing agricultural departments and supervising agricultural behaviors.
Main responsibilities: to implement the laws, regulations and related policies of the state and the autonomous region on the work concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and to study and organize the implementation of the development strategy and planning of the work concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers. Improve the comprehensive law enforcement system of agriculture and animal husbandry. Guide the flag city to carry out related work; Coordinate the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. To study and formulate the development plan of social undertakings in rural pastoral areas, undertake the investigation and study on the development of social undertakings in rural pastoral areas, participate in the formulation of relevant policies, and promote the development of social undertakings, public services, infrastructure and rural governance in rural pastoral areas as a whole. Take the lead in coordinating and guiding the improvement of living environment and production environment in rural pastoral areas; Promote the reform of the economic system in rural pastoral areas as a whole. To study and put forward policy suggestions on deepening the reform of economic system and consolidating and perfecting the basic management system in rural pastoral areas. Guide farmers and herdsmen to manage contracted land and homestead, and guide the reform of collective property rights system, the development of collective economic organizations and the management of collective assets in rural pastoral areas.
