On September 4th, the deputy general manager of Honda Technology Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd. gave a speech entitled "Honda's Environment and Safety Strategy" in the "Opening Conference: National Double Carbon Target and Low Carbon Safety Development Prospect of Automobile Industry".

Deputy General Manager of Honda Technical Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd.? Fengcun early seedling

Mr. Kawamura said that Honda will achieve carbon neutrality in related enterprise activities in 2050. Electric vehicles and FCV will increase to 40% in 2030, 80% in 2035 and reach the goal of 100% in 2040.

At the same time, Honda is independently conducting research on all-solid-state batteries, and strives to apply them to vehicles in the late 2020s. As a kind of renewable energy, the popularization of hydrogen energy has been expected by people. Honda has been committed to the research and development and application of FC technology for a long time, promoting the application of FC system in commercial trucks, actively exploring customized uses, striving to reduce costs and realize a hydrogen energy society.

Mr. Seomura also introduced Honda's technical roadmap and safety measures in China. According to the plan, in China, we plan to use all-round ADAS technology in all new models by 2030. In addition to all-round ADAS, it also uses the collision performance enhancement of pedestrian protection and the automatic communication function of accidents to achieve the goal of zero death in major accidents and traffic accidents.

We will continue to develop more advanced autonomous driving technologies of L4 and above, and explore autonomous driving technologies suitable for the driving environment in China.

The following is a record of the speech:

Hello, everyone, I'm Chumiao Seomura. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to make a speech.

Today, I will give a speech on environment and safety. Nowadays, not only the automobile industry, but also the whole world is facing great changes. China government holds high two goals: environment and safety. As a multi-field mobile travel company for motorcycles, automobiles and airplanes, Honda strives to achieve the goal of zero load on the global environment and protect precious lives.

First of all, in the field of environment, in the Paris Agreement of 20 15, China put forward the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit GDP by 60%-65% compared with 2005, striving to reach the peak in 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, and released the goal of gradually reducing coal consumption by 20021.

For the sustainable development of mankind, Honda has been focusing on three aspects: zero environmental cycle load, carbon neutrality to clean energy and resource recycling.

Carbon neutrality refers to reducing carbon dioxide activities in our products, including product life cycle. The transition to clean energy means that products and enterprise activities will adopt clean energy, while resource recovery refers to the recovery of materials, including the recovery and reuse of batteries and the development of sustainable products. Honda will achieve carbon neutrality in related enterprise activities in 2050.

Facing the goal of carbon neutrality in 2050, it is our responsibility and obligation to achieve zero carbon. Therefore, in advanced markets including China, we propose the goal of increasing EV and FCV to 40% in 2030, 80% in 2035 and 100% in 2040. In order to ensure the high commodity competitiveness of EV and realize a new generation of batteries with large capacity and low cost, Honda is independently conducting research on all-solid-state batteries and striving to apply them to vehicles in the late 2020s.

Next, the technical roadmap of Honda in China is introduced. Honda has put in 4 million hybrid cars. At the same time, because of its low fuel consumption, high performance and high reliability, it is also favored by domestic consumers. In China, because fossil fuels account for about 70% of power generation, it takes time to drastically reduce carbon dioxide emissions, so from the perspective of reducing carbon dioxide, hybrid technology is very effective.

We are committed to providing technologies and products that can meet the needs of consumers and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. In the future, we will continue to expand HEV and PHEV products, and then we will develop Honda's unique EV technology. In the next five years, 10 Honda brand ev will be put into the China market, and Honda pure electric production vehicles will be gradually introduced to the market.

In order to achieve the goal of China's dual-carbon environment in 2030 and 2060, the automobile industry needs to take some measures. Before 2030, in order to achieve the peak of carbon dioxide emissions, it is necessary to implement the double-point policy for low-fuel vehicles and new-energy vehicles, technologies to reduce fuel consumption and preferential systems for new-energy vehicles.

After the carbon peak in 2030, we will continue to promote carbon dioxide emission reduction and move towards carbon neutrality. At the same time, it will become very important to replace the new system of double integral. When we discuss the new system, we hope to start the discussion as soon as possible to ensure a transition period before its formal implementation and avoid duplication of management. We also look forward to participating in the discussion and contributing to the formulation of the most perfect system in China society.

Next, I will introduce security measures to you. Since its establishment, Honda has been adhering to the concept of respecting life and enhancing active safety, and has always implemented the goal of enabling every traffic participant to achieve zero accidents.

In order to achieve the goal of zero accidents, the Ministry of Public Security has issued six major upgrading projects. By 2050, Honda motorcycles and cars will strive to achieve zero death in traffic accidents. In order to realize that everyone can move freely with peace of mind, Honda focuses on three aspects. The first is to establish safety awareness activities to improve safety performance, which also means performance development and the establishment of traffic ecology. It is the systematic development of Honda's safety extrasensory system. In the all-round ADAS system, we use L3 autopilot technology. In China, we plan to use all-round ADAS technology in all new models by 2030. In addition to all-round ADAS, it also uses the collision performance enhancement of pedestrian protection and the automatic communication function of accidents to achieve the goal of zero death in major accidents and traffic accidents. Omni-directional ADAS is a technology cultivated in the development and application of autonomous driving. Compared with the current ADAS function, it adds a variety of accident scenarios. By carrying a wide-angle camera and five radars, a wider and farther range can be realized, and at the same time, the vehicle identification ability and pre-judgment ability can be greatly improved.

Protect the safety of traffic participants in all directions under various complex road conditions. In June 2020, 165438+ 10, Honda released L3 self-driving vehicles in Japan. You can watch videos.

This is the technology of replacing the driver with automatic driving under the specific situation of traffic jam in expressway. Honda joined hands with the Japanese government to put forward and promote the application for network security certificate and driving environment conditions on the basis of vehicle experiments. Therefore, referring to Japan's experience, it is necessary for the government and OEMs to cooperate with each other for the popularization of autonomous driving technology.

We will continue to develop more advanced autonomous driving technologies of L4 and above, and explore autonomous driving technologies suitable for the driving environment in China. Honda cooperates with AutoX, which has rich experience in the field of L4 autonomous driving, and develops highly autonomous driving technology through cooperation with its partners in China.

In addition to the various technological developments introduced to you, Honda has also actively carried out activities to popularize safe driving in response to the government's initiative. For example, in the motorcycle field, traffic safety education, driver safety awareness training and regular safety driving training activities will be carried out. Honda is committed to achieving a safe society with zero accidents from the above two aspects of safety technology and safety awareness.

I have introduced Honda's vision and measures above, and the actual products and details will be released this fall. I hope you can continue to pay attention. In the future, Honda will, as always, increase the pleasure of moving and living for customers, strengthen cooperation with the government, industry and partners, and make contributions to achieving carbon neutrality and zero traffic accidents. Thank you very much for listening!
