The meaning and development course of hospital informatization
1). Narrowly, hospital informatization refers to a highly perfect hospital information system that integrates hospital business information and management information by using network and word technology, realizes the maximum collection, transmission, storage, utilization and enjoyment of all hospital information, and realizes the most effective utilization of hospital internal resources and the maximum optimization of business processes. Hospital informatization in a broad sense refers to a regional information hospital service system composed of hospital-to-hospital connections and hospital-to-community connections. That is, on the basis of narrow sense information hospital, increase hierarchical network connection to realize zero-distance medical and health services in a certain area.
2) The development of hospital information system in China has experienced nearly 30 years. The application of computers in China hospitals began in the late 1970s. Some large hospitals used computers in outpatient charge, hospitalization expense management, pharmacy management and hospital administration and personnel management, but at that time it was only a stand-alone system. Although the use of file database systems such as FORBASE is helpful for data storage and query, which improves the work efficiency of the hospital to a certain extent, it is far from giving full play to the potential of computers, let alone enjoying resources. In the mid-1980s, network technology began to be popularized in China, and local area networks (LAN) of departments appeared in some hospitals. However, due to the limitation of software and hardware technology and management level at that time, it was difficult to realize the informationization of the whole hospital. In the 1990s, with the maturity of the Internet, a truly complete hospital information management system appeared, but it still focused on management and charging. In recent years, the Chinese government has given full attention and support to the hospital informatization construction, and the hospital information system construction has developed rapidly, but the overall situation, especially the application system software and management level, is still far from that of foreign advanced countries.
