Geographical Environment of Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province

There are 75 families, 235 genera and 382 species of plants in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve, including 4 species of bryophytes, 5 species of ferns, gymnosperms 1 family 1 genus, and the rest are angiosperms, 68 families, 227 genera and 372 species.

(2) The aquatic plants in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province grow well, among which there are 37 species of common macrophytes in 27 genera, and 20/kloc-0 species of other phytoplankton. Dominant species are widely distributed in the world, followed by temperate species. Floristic plants have obvious cross-zone phenomenon, and many similar species form similar communities in different vegetation zones, which has obvious concealment characteristics.

(3) The geographical elements of terrestrial flora in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province are mainly temperate elements, and all kinds of species, such as widely distributed species and tropical species, are distributed all over the world, which also shows the diversity of their geographical elements. This area is dominated by herbaceous types, and the temperate nature is remarkable. There are only a few woody plants in the nature reserve, such as Tamarix of Tamarix family, Salix of Salix genus and Robinia pseudoacacia of Leguminosae.

(4) The zonal vegetation in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province belongs to warm temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest. The community structure is generally simple, consisting of tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer, with fewer vines and epiphytes and more shrubs and herbs under the forest. The fauna of Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province has obvious characteristics of Palaearctic animals, and the oriental elements began to penetrate northward. There are 549 species of wild animals in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province, including:

(1) Birds: 3 10 species, belonging to 48 families of 17 orders.

(2) Fish: 34 species, belonging to 8 orders 14 families 3 1 genus, mainly including crucian carp, silver carp, carp, catfish and grass carp.

(3) Mammals: 20 species, belonging to 5 orders 10 family, mainly small and medium-sized mammals.

(4) Reptiles: 22 species, belonging to 5 families, 4 genera and 7 species, reptiles 10 genus 15 species.

(5) Insects: 4 16 species, belonging to 15 orders 102 family.

(6) Zooplankton 174 species: belonging to 90 genera of 3 phyla, 5 classes 18 orders, including 66 species of protozoa, rotifers 13 orders, 4 1 genus 1 order.

(7) There are 23 species of benthos. They belong to 3 phyla, 4 classes, 8 orders and 20 genera, including annelids 1 class, 3 genera and 3 species, molluscs 1 class, 5 genera and 7 species, and arthropods, 2 classes 12 genera 13 species.

There are many protected birds in Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province. In the list of national key protected wild animals, there are 7 species of national first-class protected birds, namely black stork, oriental white stork, red-crowned crane, white crane, golden eagle, white-shouldered eagle and great bustard. There are 46 species of national second-class protected birds, including swans, cygnets, mandarin ducks, grey cranes, white-naped cranes, demoiselle cranes, yellow-billed egrets, white spoonbills, white geese, frogs, spotted pelicans, [black] kites, crested buzzards, goshawks, sparrows and cypresses.

It can be seen that Hengshui Lake Nature Reserve is an important base for bird protection in North China Plain, an ideal place for biodiversity protection, scientific research and monitoring of birds and wetlands, and one of the important areas that affect bird population in China.
