European diving duck
European diving duck (Aythya ferina) breeds in reed lake in the north; Some spend the winter in Egypt, India and southern China. Netta rufina male has yellow-red head feathers, fluffy and erect crown feathers, black chest and throat, and white ribs. Most of them are distributed in the south and live in inland waters. The red-eyed diving duck (N. erythrophthalma) in Africa and South America is reddish-brown and related to it. Aythya valisineria is a North American diving duck with a red head, black chest, white back and ribs, thin gray lines and canvas appearance. The red-headed diving duck (A. americana) in North America is similar to the common diving duck in Europe, but it is larger in size and darker in color. The head is round and the beak is short, which is different from the related canvas back diving duck. Hunters call the red-headed diving duck "stupid duck" because it is easily lured by scorpions. Diving ducks, or bluebilled birds, are smaller than wild ducks. The white stripes of Haiyan extend almost to the top of the wings; Finis's fin line is only half the length of wings; In winter, diving ducks gather in large groups at the seaside and dive to catch shellfish as food.
