How to import UG parts into SOLIDWORKS?
Because each software has its own format to express geometric information, the file suffix is different. However, in order to share information among different softwares, common data formats such as iges, stp, stl can be used, that is, UG geometry files can be saved or exported to iges, stp, stl and other formats, and then can be opened by solidworks and other software. However, this may lose some geometric information originally in UG, which makes it difficult to modify UG model in other software. However, UG accepts geometric information imported by other software through iges, stp and stl formats, which can be modified by UG's "synchronous modeling" function.
