Why is the secret of meditation enlightenment to simplify metaphysics?
Buddha Sakyamuni told us in the Buddhist scriptures that the words used in meditation and enlightenment are very simplified, and most of the complete cheats of each system are around 100 Chinese characters. For example: 1. The Buddha said in the Jue Yuan Sutra: "Good people, but bodhisattvas and last-time beings, live in all things and can't stand thinking;" In all false hearts, it is endless; Living in delusion without knowing it; If you don't know, don't argue. " 2. The root of Guanyin Bodhisattva's ear is Tong Yuan Zen: "First smell, exile; The entrance is silent, there is movement, and it is clearly not born; If it is increasing, it will be heard; I can't smell it, but I feel empty; Emptiness is extremely round, emptiness is empty; Life and death are destroyed, and silence is now. " 3. Abide by the Sutra: The Buddha told me: "If it is Luo Yun, if there is a place where monks are willing to be quiet, they will be upright and have no other distractions. They will know long-term benefits and long-term income; Short income means short interest, short income means short interest; You know you are cold when you are cold. Cold income is also called cold interest; Warm income means warm interest, and warm income means warm interest. Just look at your body's income and promise. Sometimes interested, sometimes not interested. If qi is in the heart, it will be in the heart, and if qi is in the heart, it will be in the heart. If you are Luo Yun, if you can practice peace, you will have no worries and troubles, and you will get great rewards and sweet smell. " 4. Mahayana belief theory: "If you stop, live in a secluded place and sit upright. Not dependent on breath, color, air, fire, water and wind, or even knowledge. All thoughts are removed with thoughts, and so are thoughts. All dharma, without phase, can't be forgotten, and can't read the realm outside the mind, so you can get rid of the mind. If the heart is scattered, take it, and live in mindfulness. If you are an upright person, you should know that there is no external realm. In other words, there is no self-contradiction in this heart and it is impossible to get it. " Why are the words used in these secrets so concise, but their meanings are mysterious and difficult to understand? A deep understanding of this will give you a clear understanding of meditation. You can also avoid being "trapped" on the road of practice by pursuing a special realm once and for all. Below, a set of metaphors is used to analyze this problem: Master Cang Xue, the founder of Zen Buddhism, wrote an enlightened poem, "Sit quietly in Nantai and burn incense, worrying about death all day long;" Instead of letting your mind rest and get rid of delusions, let yourself do nothing. "We set the place of enlightenment or meditation at the' Nantai' in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, Hunan Province where Master Cang Xue is located. Set the starting point of monasticism as Beijing. Hikers from Beijing to Nantai are called yogis. Then use travel experience to illustrate spiritual experience. First of all, travelers mark three routes to Nantai on a national map: the eastern route: North China Plain, Yellow River, Mount Tai, Huaihe River, Yangtze River, Lotus Peak, Wuyishan Vein and Hengshan Mountain. Central Line: North China Plain, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Yangtze River, Dabie Mountain Range, Lushan Mountain and Hengshan Mountain. West: Taihang Mountain, Yellow River, Qinling Mountain, Hanshui River, Yangtze River, Daba Mountain and Hengshan Mountain. Yu Ming: 1. Compare the map of China to a whole Buddhist sutra describing the methods of meditation and enlightenment. Just as there are countless routes from Beijing to Nantai, there are "84,000 kinds of practices". Such as "as safe as an angel", "various methods in Jue Yuan Classics", "Round-headed Zen", "Six Wonderful Doors", "Tantric Handprints" and "Supreme Yoga". . . Second, why are there * * * sexual experiences and non-* * sexual experiences? If several passengers go to Nantai from different routes. It can be clearly seen from the above map that if you take the western route, you won't meet the North China Plain, Huaihe River and Wuyishan. If you take the central line, you will meet the North China Plain and Huaihe River like the eastern line, but you will not meet the Wuyishan Mountains. If you take the western route, you won't meet some mountains and rivers on the eastern and central routes. At the same time, no matter which way you take, you have to go through the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Yu Ming: 1. * * * sexual realm. If you practice meditation, supreme yoga, Tong Ming Zen, and six wonderful doors, and so on, you will encounter the contents of qi pulse, qi wheel, stopping cold and warming, and stopping breathing. In these methods, the content of breathing exercises has many intersections-* * * sexual realm. Just like no matter which route you take, you have to pass through the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. "Stop and observe" is the only way, which is manifested as "stage state". 2. Non-sexual field. If you practice the methods in Tong Yuan's Twenty-five Dharmas, Tantric Handprints, Jue Yuan Sutra, etc., it is difficult for you to find the concept of "Qi pulse". At this point, the pulse is the "non-* * realm". For example, it is extremely difficult for monks in Southeast Asian countries to talk about the pulse in ancient and modern times, and many people who follow the Buddhist scriptures don't even know that there is a pulse. The fundamental reason why China attached importance to the concept of Qi was that some methods of "preparing for danger in times of peace" were well used, and many convenient methods were derived. If you are willing to spend some time looking at Buddhist scriptures, you will easily find that the concept of "qi" is only described by a few words about breathing. In short, just as travelers will encounter completely different rivers and valleys when taking each route, they will also have unique realm experiences in many Buddhist methods based on their own characteristics. These experiences are both sexual and non-sexual For example, "Qi and pulse pass through and stop", "All thoughts are removed with thoughts, and thoughts are also removed", "When you enter, you are silent, knowing is not born", "The shock points are clear" and "the wrong heart is not extinguished"; Live in delusion without knowing it. " . Stage state is the * * * natural state in all practices. Third, why not pursue the realm of non-* *? If a traveler takes the western route, he will definitely not meet Mount Tai. If you take the eastern route, there will be no "Hanshui" to swim and no "Qinling" to climb. Yu Ming: If practitioners practice enlightenment according to the Mahayana belief theory and the method of Jue Yuan Sutra, they will only encounter the content of simply adjusting breathing, but not the content of qi pulse, qi wheel and breath. If a yogi, while practicing these methods, hears people who practice other methods talk about some realm experiences, and he wants to experience the existence of special awareness in this method, he will feel that he is on the right path, just like a traveler, who originally walked from the "eastern route" and did not meet the Qinling Mountains, but when he saw this place between "Beijing and Nantai" on the map, he had to pile it up. So don't deliberately pursue the realm experience in some methods. These dispensable realms are unique experiences in different convenient methods, and they are also the "scaffolding" to be demolished eventually. Fourth, why is there a difference in "stage state"? If 1000 passengers arriving in Nantai are asked to describe the experience of "swimming the Yellow River and the Yangtze River", it will appear that due to different routes, everyone will describe the experience and scenery they saw when they visited the Yellow River for too long. The key point is that anyone who "comes" can see whether the other person is swimming in the Yellow River or the Yangtze River. Yu Ming: Due to different personal roots and karma, the chosen spiritual path will be different, which directly leads to different stage experience. However, anyone who meditates and enlightens will clearly know that differences only exist in the description of language and characters. For example, "if you don't know, you can't tell the truth" and "emptiness is extremely round, emptiness is extremely empty; The description of "life and death are silent" is different, but the realm is the same thing. At the same time, enlightened people will know everything, and it is clear that practice cannot be separated from the convenient method, but clinging to the convenient method can only be a "dead end." "For example, clinging to the pulse will lead to many psychosomatic diseases; Insisting on not falling is nothing more than forming the habit of sitting and sleeping. Insist on dialogue, without the guidance of a master, you will recite spells in vain. In the end, it is not only the "unspeakable" of the three virtues and three bodhis, but even the stage realm can only be-it can only be understood without words-that is, the difference only exists in the description. From here, we can clearly see that practice must break through a door-practice practice! People who don't practice see only superficial phenomena, which are deceptive-misunderstanding and ambiguity are their own deception, and people who don't practice will never see the "essence". Fifth, the map plane is simple, but the actual geographical environment is three-dimensional and complex. When travelers encounter rivers and valleys marked on the map because of their route, they will have the following three questions: 1. Doubt the accuracy of the map. When he encounters difficulties when crossing a valley, he will doubt his ability and be discouraged. He will choose "detour" when he meets a bigger mountain and river. The detour has a disadvantage, that is, the route is prolonged and the direction has changed. At this time, he needs to "needle the south needle" to constantly correct the correct direction on the way around. Otherwise, it's easy to get lost and don't know where to go around. The solution is as follows: 1. Don't doubt the accuracy of Buddhist scriptures, because it is the basis of believing in Buddhism. Follow the basic principle of learning Buddhism, "four photos and four no photos". Don't say "point at the moon, not at it", don't cling to language, but understand the true meaning of Buddhism. Depending on wisdom, I don't know: according to the "wisdom" of the real life of the universe, I don't rely on the identification of sophistry logic. Reality is illogical. Relying on the righteous classics instead of relying on the righteous classics: what is right is true, and what is not right is a statement that is convenient for understanding the truth. Not relying on people according to law: whoever realizes the Tao starts from the Buddha, and its original meaning is based on the Buddha, not what someone said. 2. Everyone can become a Buddha. Even dogs have Buddha nature, don't doubt it. If you always "turn back when you meet a hurdle, then there are hurdles everywhere." "As the saying goes,' no pains, no gains', how can you achieve anything without hard work? As long as the direction is correct, it is good to work hard. 3. Just as troops get lost when marching on a map without a compass, practitioners need a "compass" in addition to Buddhist scriptures, which is the "master" of practice. Because everyone's physical health, special preferences, cultural knowledge, understanding ability, surrounding environment, roots and beliefs are different. Therefore, people will have different understanding and cultivation feelings about the same problem from others. At this time, the enlightened person needs to make temporary adjustments according to a person's specific situation, which is called "ingenuity". For example, when encountering some minor difficulties in Hills and Valleys, the master will give his disciples confidence and belief. Because there are mountains everywhere you go, you can't always beat around the bush. This is like the process of traveling is a process of constantly crossing mountains and rivers, and the process of practicing is also a process of constantly "crossing difficulties". The same is true of the process of accumulating small achievements into phased progress. Therefore, "Shanbao" must strive to cross it. For some mountains and rivers that cannot be crossed because they have roots, temporary and convenient methods can be implemented. Just as doctors need to check the ward every day in order to adjust the patient's medication category and dosage, practitioners should also have a master to monitor and correct the direction, otherwise it will only waste time and energy if they really don't turn the corner (think about how dangerous it will be if doctors use the wrong medicine, so frankly speaking, even if it is not strictly speaking, when "non-enlightened people" teach and cultivate enlightenment, it is easy to cause both teachers and students to "drown", so they really practice. At the same time, it should be noted that any convenient method is temporary, and eventually it is necessary to return to the correct path of practice. In addition, just like travelers on any route have to swim across the Yangtze River, the stage state in practice must also be reached, because there is no road without a circle. Moreover, if you can't stop at one place by convenient means, concentration is just empty talk; However, the realm experienced by those who can't stop in one place, no matter what they think, is not fixed-just as it is impossible for a person who can't stand up to experience the feeling of flying. Sixth, if you were a traveler who arrived in Nantai, how would you describe a route for the latecomers to follow? Can you describe a river, a green hill and a forest? Because of the heavy rain, flash floods broke out there. I'm afraid not. Because you clearly know that everyone who comes in this direction may not necessarily experience the 100% old rattan bridge you met during your journey. Therefore, you will only describe the geographical environment (such as Taihang Mountain, Yellow River, Mount Tai, Yangtze River and Daba Mountain) that your specific route will pass through as "landmarks". As long as the latecomers follow these signposts, they will never get lost and reach Nantai. If much ado about nothing really bothers you, describe in detail the passing non-geographical environment such as "old vines, bridges and flowing water, Nanping Mountain", because traveling is different from practice, there will really be many "Buddhists" waiting for "old vines, or digging rivers to build bridges". On the other hand, people who can settle down and settle down must come from people who are obsessed with Buddhism, and those who are obsessed with Buddhism and proficient in Buddhism are enlightened people in ancient and modern times! How to be well informed? Is to grasp the key point of cultivating consciousness. A few days ago, a friend showed me a passage from teacher nan huaijin, "I can only stop here for you, but talking too much will hurt you!" ! Many people think that inhaling can enrich their lives, so practicing inhaling is really stupid! "I believe that after reading the above, you will say," Talking too much will hurt you! " This sentence has some understanding. If "different roads can lead to a dead sheep", then ambiguity will lead to the death of Buddhism! Finally, just as a road map can only connect "landmarks", the secret of meditation and enlightenment can only connect a specific realm and stage realm in Buddhism. As for metaphysics, Buddhism and realm experience are incredible in themselves! The reason why some people "trap" themselves on the road of spiritual practice is to insist on using some other methods to pursue the realm experience. These experiences can be the best reference, but they don't have to be experienced. As the saying goes, "you have to specialize at first, and then you can adapt." "At a certain stage, everything becomes extremely simple! What is the secret of meditation and enlightenment? Next: continue. . . . . .
