Files can be kept in schools, but in order to avoid risks, schools usually keep students' files for two years (some for one year) and then hand them over to the talent market where the school is located. If you want to transfer personnel files in the future, you need to bring your ID card to the talent market in person and pay the storage fee. (Hundreds to thousands depending on your shelf life)

If you don't care, you can choose to call back your student source directly, which is the talent market where your high school is located. Similarly, when you need to transfer, you have to pay the storage fee.

Finally, if you want to have a job when you graduate, and your unit is more formal and has the right and strength to keep personnel files, you can directly transfer your files from school to your work unit through the personnel department of your unit.

The above is my own personal experience, but also the personal experience of my friends. If there is any truth, please add points.
