In order to promote electric travel, Renault Nissan Alliance will cooperate with Uber.

On September 8th, Renault and Nissan Alliance signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uber, aiming to realize the electric travel of its European customers. The three companies will explore a strong partnership to provide affordable electric vehicles for Uber App's partner drivers in the European market, especially in Britain, France, the Netherlands and Portugal. Previously, Nissan and Uber had achieved very successful pilot cooperation in the UK.

This means that by the end of 20021,passengers will be able to choose zero-emission vehicles in major European cities that account for 80% of Uber's business.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the three companies will explore how to accelerate the application of electric vehicles and electric ecosystems in European cities, including the following efforts:

Provide partner drivers with access to Renault and Nissan electric vehicles through Uber App, including Renault ZOE and Nissan LEAF and the new electric vehicles of the two companies in the future.

By the end of 2020, the British pilot project will be extended to France, and then the project will be extended to markets such as the Netherlands and Portugal.

Launch a joint marketing and training program to publicize the benefits and benefits of electric vehicles to Uber's cooperative drivers, and provide them with test drive opportunities to experience these cars.

Normand) said: "We have signed this Memorandum of Understanding with Uber, which is a recognition of our ability to conquer new markets and our ability to support energy transformation professionals. Today, we use our competitive advantage to provide a very attractive electric car for Uber travel, which will help to carry out large-scale electric car travel in the future. In the past few years, we have worked closely with the local government to propose solutions to the increasingly severe challenges facing the city-transportation, decarbonization and air quality. After signing this memorandum of understanding, our goal is to unite the forces of the three countries to accelerate this process. "

Jodi Vera, Vice President of Nissan's European Sales and Marketing Department (Jodi? Vila) added: "From the experience of Nissan Leaf for 65,438+00 years, we know that people like to drive electric cars. This change can help drivers save money and support major cities to have cleaner air. Through the cooperation with Uber in the UK, we can improve people's understanding and use of zero-emission vehicles. Next, we look forward to exploring how to further promote zero-emission vehicles in Europe. "
