The newly formulated measures for the supervision and management of elevator safety in this Municipality have standardized the production, sale, use and maintenance of elevators, defined the specific responsibilities of the government, relevant departments and industry associations, established a comprehensive elevator safety management system with mutual coordination and joint management, and defined the main responsibilities of elevator production, use and maintenance units. The "Measures" also propose to strengthen the management of old elevators, requiring users to carry out safety technical evaluation and maintenance and transformation on elevators whose service life exceeds 15 and whose main technical parameters have changed; The elevator fund guarantee system is established, and it is clear that the elevator owner will bear the daily management and maintenance costs of the elevator, and the elevators in residential quarters will be included in the special maintenance funds for the residence. County, city and district governments shall arrange financial funds to give appropriate subsidies to the renewal of old elevators in residential areas without special maintenance funds.

In July last year, Hefei started the construction of elevator safety supervision information system, and combined with modern information technologies such as GIS, Internet of Things and big data, a "one platform and two systems" was built in the first phase, namely, elevator comprehensive big data platform, elevator supervision system and emergency response system. At present, the system has been basically completed and will be put into operation soon. The unique signs of more than 50,000 elevators in the city are being posted and are expected to be posted before the end of May. Information such as elevator number, QR code and rescue telephone number are marked on the signboard, which is convenient for passengers to ask for help in case of elevator failure, and the maintenance or rescue team can quickly rush to the scene to deal with it.
