Q: How did your college arrange for new students to enter school this year?

A: The principles of enrollment in our school are: fair competition, fair selection, openness and transparency, comprehensive assessment, comprehensive evaluation and merit-based admission based on the results of the national unified examination for enrollment in ordinary colleges and universities.

Our school determines the proportion of enrollment according to the situation of students in various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) (in principle, the proportion of enrollment should be controlled within 1.20% of the enrollment plan). According to the principle of giving priority to volunteers, candidates who apply for our school first will be allocated according to their professional volunteers in principle. The first professional volunteers are divided into 1.5 files, and those who are willing to obey the professional adjustment are divided into five files. In the case of equal grades, our school will comprehensively consider the candidates' achievements and specialties in related disciplines and select the best candidates.

If the majors of two national base classes, music, art and other non-base classes enroll students in the same batch and the same college code, the candidates who apply for the first major in the base class will be given priority. If these candidates are not admitted to the base major, their second major will be regarded as the first major and deployed with other candidates.

Q: Is there any restriction for previous students to apply for Fujian Normal University?

A: In the process of admission, our school treats both current and previous students equally.

Q: Are there any restrictions on candidates' choice of foreign languages?

A: Candidates who apply for foreign language majors and Chinese as a foreign language majors must take the oral foreign language exams organized by various provinces, and only those who pass the exams can fill in the foreign language majors and Chinese as a foreign language majors. English majors only recruit English language candidates, and other majors are not limited to foreign language candidates, but our school only arranges English-based foreign language teaching.

Q: Do you have any special professional requirements for the college entrance examination this year?

Answer: Candidates with normal facial features and clear speech, with a height of more than 1.60m for boys and 1.50m for girls, will be given priority in enrolling teachers' majors. Candidates who are not suitable for normal majors due to physical reasons, and candidates who need to teach in the future, do not fill in normal majors.

Candidates who fill in the English major and Chinese as a foreign language major have a score of not less than 90 points in a single foreign language subject. China language and literature, economics, geography, three national base classes, in principle, according to a number of undergraduate (key institutions) admission scores. Candidates who fill in the national basic class of musicology have a score of not less than 70 points in a single foreign language course; Candidates who fill in the national fine arts base class major should have a score of not less than 70% of the second batch of undergraduate admission control scores determined by the province where the candidates are located, and a score of not less than 80 points in foreign languages.

Candidates who apply for the major of Chinese as a foreign language are required to meet the standard of Putonghua. This major gives priority to candidates who are healthy and have good facial features. The height of boys is above1.65m, and that of girls is above1.55m..

Q: In 2006, how did you arrange professional examinations and enrollment for arts and sports majors in your school?

A: Candidates from outside Fujian who apply for art majors and candidates from inside Fujian who apply for dance, music performance, broadcasting and hosting majors are required to take relevant professional examinations organized by our school, and the examination results are taken as the basis for professional admission.

Fujian candidates who apply for musicology (normal) major are assigned from high to low according to the sum of foreign language and Chinese scores in the candidates' cultural achievements, and are selected by comprehensive evaluation.

Except for Fujian candidates who apply for musicology (normal) major, other candidates who apply for art major are selected according to their professional scores from high to low on the basis that their cultural test scores and professional test scores are all qualified.

Candidates who apply for physical education majors are assigned from high to low according to their professional scores on the basis that their cultural test scores and professional test scores are all qualified.
