I'm in Canada, so I'm writing an email to the dean here asking about things.

Don't be afraid to write English emails. It would be nice to write more.

First of all, because you don't know each other very well, you use Dear Ms as her last name (if you don't know her last name, you can write Dean).

At the beginning of the first paragraph, you should introduce yourself first, and then briefly explain the purpose of writing this email. Be sure to talk less and get to the point.

The second paragraph can specify your situation, the questions you want to ask and so on. Be modest in tone. People take time out of their busy schedules to read your email.

Thank you for the last paragraph. Thank her for reading your email. If things can be solved, I will definitely recommend them. Tell her to return to your email if there is anything.

Finally, write a greeting and best wishes in the two blank lines. You can remember to put a comma after it and write your name on a blank line.

Everything is written in capital letters, with blank lines between paragraphs.

Ask me if you don't understand.
