Centralized management of all kinds of academic education and entrance examination in the city. Responsible for the city's primary and secondary school enrollment and student status management; Plan and guide self-study exams, private education and eliminate illiteracy among young people.
Centralized management of the city's normal graduates employment guidance and employment system reform.
Responsible for the city's foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan education exchanges.
Guide the city's school infrastructure construction, responsible for safety education in primary and secondary schools.
To guide the school's ideological and political work, moral education, sports health and art education and national defense education.
Responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information, and guide the city's educational technology and equipment management, audio-visual education, information construction of education system and work-study programs in primary and secondary schools.
Responsible for the city's language management.
To undertake other tasks assigned by the municipal party committee and municipal government.
