1. Connect the line between the network cable, router and computer, and start the computer and router equipment;
2. Look through the nameplate or instruction manual at the bottom of the router to find the router IP, default account number and password. If the access is optical fiber, the optical fiber cat IP must not be in the same network segment as the router IP, otherwise it is easy to conflict;
3. Open a browser, enter the queried IP address, and press enter, such as 192. 168. 1. If the input prompt is incorrect, it means that the router has been modified. Just press the reset button on the router to restore the factory settings and reset it.
4. Enter the router login interface and enter the queried default login account and password. If the input prompt is incorrect, it means that the router has been modified. Just press and hold the reset button on the router to restore the factory settings and then reset it.
5. Enter the router setup interface, find the setup wizard in the left menu bar, and select Next according to the prompt, and select PPPOE dial-up Internet access;
6. Enter the account number and password applied from the network service provider, and go directly to the next step after the input is completed;
7. Set the wifi password to make the alphanumeric combination as complicated as possible and not easy to be hacked (this step is aimed at routers with wifi function, and routers without wifi function go directly to the next step);
8. If the input is correct, you will be prompted whether to restart the router. Select Yes to confirm to restart the router, and then you can surf the Internet normally.
