Founded in 1945, the school is a public full-time ordinary college. The school is an excellent school evaluated by the Ministry of Education for higher vocational education, a model vocational college in Jiangsu Province, and a construction unit of a high-level vocational school with characteristics in Jiangsu Province, China.

2. School major
The school has five secondary colleges, including School of Environment and Biological Engineering, School of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Transportation Engineering, School of Information and Intelligent Engineering and School of Business Administration, as well as teaching institutions such as Marxism College (Ministry of Quality Education), Continuing Education College, International Education College and Innovation and Entrepreneurship College.
To meet the needs of regional economic development, the school has continuously optimized its specialty settings, and has formed six major professional clusters, including modern agriculture, health and environmental protection, intelligent equipment, electronic information, landscape and municipal administration, and modern business.
39 majors, including 2 national key construction majors, 1 provincial brand majors, 4 provincial high-level backbone majors, 2 modern apprenticeship pilot majors, and 29 pilot 1+X certificate systems. There are more than 140 experimental training rooms.
Among them, there are 2 national training bases, 1 "Xingchuang Tiandi", 5 production-education integration bases, engineering centers and innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration bases.
