I want to be a layman. Who can guide me?

1. First, go to a nearby temple or your favorite temple to find a monk, apply for a conversion certificate and do a conversion ceremony. Just like you have to get a good student ID card and hold an entrance ceremony before you go to school. At this ceremony, the mage will also tell you some basic theories of lay people (called "enlightenment").

2. Then ask Master how to learn the precepts of laymen (that is, the five precepts are the main ones). Master will tell you how to do it, and will also introduce you to practice with those more cultured lay people when you are not in the temple (such a place is generally called "lay forest").

3. Generally, laymen learn Buddhism, rituals and etiquette, and then participate in Buddhist activities, chanting scriptures and practicing. Gradually they felt it. Here you can choose a subject and major that you particularly like or think is your main focus.
