According to the report, the rock climbing competition of the 2020 Olympic Games entered the Olympic Games for the first time. In view of the late start of rock climbing in China, the Mountaineering Center of the State Sports General Administration decided to adopt the cross-border and cross-disciplinary selection reform to select talents with strong physical fitness and physical conditions from high-level athletes and cross-border special talents such as track and field and swimming.
At present, 500 members have been selected from all over the country after preliminary examination. On June 8th 165438+, the team members have started a month-long training at six points, including Gaobeidian National Mountaineering Training Base, to train talents for the national rock climbing team to prepare for the 2020 Olympic Games.
It is reported that in addition to introducing sports events and training activities from the State Sports General Administration, we are actively planning to build a "climbing into the campus" project for thousands of rock climbing schools nationwide in the next five years, relying on training bases and cooperating with the General Sports Administration, so as to vigorously promote and popularize mass rock climbing in the local area.
