Guangdong Vision No.1 13 Guangzhou paper-cut people practice Xiaohong.

The value of traditional art is not in the same strain, but more importantly, it is persistence and inheritance. There is such a paper-cutter who became a monk halfway in Guangzhou. He took a pair of scissors and a few pieces of colored paper and traveled all over the city, scattering the seeds of paper-cutting art on the land of Yangcheng.

△ Lian Xiaohong and her parents

Lian Xiaohong, the inheritor of Guangdong paper-cutting, is the daughter of Li Xiaoling and Lian Hanfeng, the master of paper-cutting technology in Guangzhou. She has not received systematic paper-cutting study, and the reason why she became attached to paper-cutting may only be because she "read too much" in her mother's paper-cutting teaching.

Lian Xiaohong always goes to class with her mother and acts as a little assistant. By chance, she gave the children a mother's lesson. With her original artistic skills and flexible and vivid teaching methods, she instantly captured the hearts of many small partners. Under the influence of her mother, the talented Lian Xiaohong embarked on the road of paper-cutting inheritance, which was an "accidental and inevitable" result for her.

Not only that, Li Xiaoling's mother is also a "half-way monk" in the art of paper-cutting. Li Xiaoling first came into contact with paper cutting in 2003. Because she got polio when she was a child, her legs were disabled, but God gave her a pair of flexible hands. In a beaded exhibition at Ren Wei Temple in Liwan, because the walls of the exhibition hall were empty, Li Xiaoling bought teaching materials to learn paper-cutting for decoration. Unexpectedly, she was well received. From then on, the family became attached to paper cutting, and it was 15.

△ The basic techniques of paper-cutting have five elements: "circle, sharp, square, lack and line". Requirements: "Round as autumn moon, sharp as wheat awn, square as blue brick, lacking as sawtooth, walking like beard."

My mother left me with not only exquisite craftsmanship, but also the ingenuity of "competing" with myself. If the work accidentally cuts a wrong step, Li Xiaoling will overturn it and start over, even if the flaw is so small that others can hardly notice it. Once, because of too many revisions, even Xiaohong was puzzled and advised her mother not to be "paranoid". Her mother flatly refused: "Even if others can't see it, you know in your heart that if you don't strive for perfection, how can you call it a work of art?" This sentence touched Lian Xiaohong and was firmly imprinted in her heart.

△ Over the past five years, Guangzhou Paper-cutting Project has held 100 paper-cutting lectures in the whole city.

In order to carry forward the art of paper-cutting, Lian Xiaohong combined her professional knowledge in animation to try to make the steps of the teaching process into animation. "When making paper-cut works, the steps of opening and closing scissors are more complicated. If you don't do it well in one step, it will destroy the effect of the works." Lian Xiaohong has been exploring a set of specific teaching methods in teaching, and her kind and interesting teaching style has won the love of many students.

"What impressed me the most was that I was ill in hospital. A child gave me a paper-cut with candy in it. That candy paper-cut is not only full of children's ideas, but also shows that they really like paper-cutting. " I like Xiaohong's children's practice very much, so I made up my mind to devote myself to paper-cutting teaching.

△ In addition to traditional holiday decorations, paper-cutting can also create various creative shapes (students' works).

But how can the traditional paper-cutting skills go further? Lian Xiaohong felt that paper-cutting should appear in more daily life scenes, so she chose to "paper-cut" clothes.

△ Paper-cut figures appeared in the fashion show.

Making clothes is different from making plane paper-cuts, and you will encounter problems such as size mismatch, so after making a work, you should constantly revise it. At first, the material used in the "experiment" was cardboard, which could not stand folding and was mostly damaged. However, Lian Xiaohong was not discouraged and continued to try new materials. Finally, paper-cutting and clothes are made of silk.

Now, I believe many citizens will be deeply impressed by the huge paper-cut work "The Legend of Wuyang Fairy" that appeared in Guangzhou Railway Station and subway station on 20 15. Lian Xiaohong recalled that it was the first time to create such a large-scale work, using the perspective principle of "near the big and far from the small", trying to make each sheep have different shapes, plus Guangzhou's characteristic buildings such as "small waist". Although several years have passed since the exhibition, she still remembers the admiring expressions of her neighbors when they appreciated the works. It seems that it was only then that she realized the true meaning of the word "inheritance" that her parents often said.
