Automatic assisted driving part

Add navigation assistant beta (NOP? Beta version)

After this update, users who have purchased the complete NIO Pilot package can experience the navigation aided beta (NOP) function. NOP is a deep integration of navigation system, high-precision map and NIO Pilot automatic assisted driving system. On the basis of the cruise speed control, distance keeping, steering assistance and lane change control realized by the Pilot function, NOP supports vehicles to automatically enter and leave the ramp and switch the main road in most sections of expressways and urban elevated roads covered by high-precision maps according to the navigation path planning, and at the same time, automatically adjust the speed, intelligently change lanes and overtake the local train according to the information such as road speed limit and environmental awareness.

NOP function can be turned on on highways and urban viaducts covered by high-precision maps (it is recommended to use it on roads with medium and low traffic density to get a better experience).

It should be emphasized that the release of navigation assistance function does not mean that the vehicle can drive automatically. As a driving assistance function, pilot assistance can't cope with all traffic, weather and road conditions. When you use it, you must always pay attention to the traffic conditions and road environment and be ready to take over the vehicle at any time. Drivers always bear the ultimate responsibility of driving safely and observing the current traffic laws and regulations.

New arrival warning and active braking (CTA-B)

On the basis of the on-line rear warning function, the active braking function is added in this update. The system will detect oncoming traffic behind the vehicle by millimeter wave radar. When the vehicle falls out of the parking space or reverses to the intersection at a low speed, if it is detected that there is a potential collision risk between the vehicle and the oncoming traffic, the vehicle will not only remind the driver through vision and sound, but also try to take active braking when necessary to reduce the collision risk.

You only need to enter the "Settings -ADAS" menu, turn on the "Later Warning and Auxiliary" switch, and set the auxiliary level to "Reminder and Active Braking" to start the CTA-B function.

Digital cockpit part

Added driver fatigue monitoring based on camera.

Based on the driver state detection camera integrated in the rearview mirror, we upgraded the driver fatigue monitoring function in version 2.7.0. By recognizing the driver's facial, eye and head posture features and comprehensively judging the driver's driving concentration, the driver's inattention and fatigue driving can be found more accurately and sensitively, and driving safety can be improved.

Before using the upgraded driver fatigue monitoring function, you need to complete the initial calibration so that the system can learn to master your state under normal driving conditions. The calibration operation is very simple and can be roughly divided into the following three steps:

1. In the P-gear state, the driver sits in the main driver's seat, and after adjusting the main driver's seat and steering wheel to the accustomed driving position, click the "Settings -ADAS- Intelligent Assistant" menu in the central control panel to turn on the switch of the "Driver Fatigue Monitoring" function;

2. Adjust the interior rearview mirror to a reasonable position according to the NOMI voice and the prompts on the central control panel (ensure that you can see the rear windshield and the rear of the vehicle);

3. According to the voice of NOMI and the prompts on the central control panel, take a normal driving posture, hold the steering wheel with both hands and keep your eyes on the front for a while.

After a few seconds, NOMI will prompt "personalized calibration has succeeded" and the calibration process will be completed. Then, when the activation conditions are met (vehicle speed when using the Pilot and NOP functions >; 0km/h; When the vehicle speed is > 22km/h when not in use), the driver's fatigue monitoring function will be automatically activated. When the driver's eyes are closed, the line of sight deviation and the head posture deviation are detected, the driver will be reminded and warned by different levels of warning sound, instrument screen, NOMI voice and expression prompts. At different speeds, the driver fatigue monitoring function will have different sensitivities to ensure a better user experience.

Because each user is used to different driving positions and facial features, the driver fatigue monitoring function follows the account setting. For the scene of using a car with many people and accounts, before using the driver fatigue monitoring function under this account, it is necessary to switch to the corresponding account and complete a calibration.

Tip: Because the camera is integrated in the rearview mirror, remember to pay attention to whether the rearview mirror is in a reasonable position when getting on the bus, otherwise it may affect the normal work of the driver's fatigue monitoring function. In addition, when the driver wears dark sunglasses and the lighting conditions at night are poor, the performance of the driver fatigue monitoring function may be affected to some extent. Please try to enhance safety awareness subjectively and reduce fatigue driving.

Added 5. 1 immersive surround sound support.

After this update, all vehicles in Weilai will support the native 5. 1 audio format and support hardware-level decoding and playback. Through the multi-speaker surround sound system arranged in the carriage, music can be played in five independent directions: center, left front, right front, left rear and right rear, with excellent sound positioning and reproduction effect, so that every passenger in the car can experience the exclusive music enjoyment like a cinema. Especially suitable for experiencing concerts and concert programs.

As there is almost no online sound source supporting 5. 1 immersive surround sound at present, music lovers who want to experience it need to prepare 5. 1 audio and play it through USB (currently, it can support open source WAV, AAC, FLAC, ALAC and PCM formats, but does not support DTS coding format). When playing 5. 1 audio, the system will automatically identify and switch to the tuning mode exclusive to 5. 1 audio source.

Digital cockpit interface optimization (user interface /UX)

In addition to the new design of instrument interface in NOP state, we also made some other adjustments and optimizations to the digital cockpit interface.

The Head-up Display (HUD) can now support displaying the information of the navigation suggested lane in the upper right corner area to help people avoid the wrong lane. In the NOP state, HUD will also remind everyone that the vehicle is currently changing lanes to the left/right with the help of the blue mist dynamic effect on the leftmost/rightmost side of the projection area. In addition, the forward collision warning (FCW) and hands-off reminder (HOD) in the pilot /NOP state will also be projected on the HUD.

For the light mode, we have adjusted the navigation route card in the central control panel, the music playing card in the instrument and the vehicle opening alarm display model to better conform to the look and feel of the light mode.

System prompt tone optimization

According to your feedback in the past, we have optimized the system prompt tone in the new version, mainly including:

The classification of system prompts is clearer, and the timbre of different types of prompts (such as reversing radar, blind spot monitoring, front/rear car warning related to radar identification, etc.). ) is unified.

Improve the quality of the prompt sound as a whole, and make the new prompt sound more stereoscopic and full, and have a better listening sense;

Optimize the logic of some hints. If the warning sound of the reversing radar is far away

The optimization of the system prompt tone may take you a short time to adapt. Please remember to pay attention to the sound change and drive safely after the upgrade is completed.

Other experience update optimization

Add remote control to open the seat ventilation function. As long as you click "car-air conditioning-seat ventilation" in NIO App and select the corresponding seat, you can turn on the seat ventilation in advance before getting on the bus to create a more comfortable interior environment;

Novel wireless charging board switch memory. The wireless charging board will no longer be turned on by default every time the vehicle starts, but will follow the state of the account memory switch;

When driving without using the NOP and Pilot functions for a long time, it will not quit directly now, but will give an alarm prompt through the instrument first and light a double flash (continuous 10 second); /kloc-after 0/0 seconds, the vehicle is still not taken over, and NOP/Pilot exits;

Further improve the detection rate of automatic parking function for horizontal parking spaces, epoxy floors, falling bricks and other scenes, and optimize the success rate of automatic parking;

Baidu map supports the setting of cruise scale and navigation scale (you can enter the "Navigation Settings-Map Display" page to adjust);

Optimize and improve NOMI's awakening and cognitive ability. Because this part of the optimization involves the functions of "one word is enough" and "double wake-up words", we have to temporarily offline the above two functions (involving brand-new ES8 and ES6) and will open them to you again after optimization and debugging;

NOMI has added a low battery reminder function. When the remaining power of the vehicle is insufficient 15%, NOMI will remind everyone to pay attention to energy supplement through voice in combination with specific scenes, and actively help find nearby energy supplement resources;

NOMI supports opening photo albums, parking images, opening/closing child locks of rear air conditioners, and opening lyrics interfaces.

Logic for optimizing comfort functions such as heating/ventilation of front seats. When it is detected that the occupant leaves the seat for a period of time (about 30 seconds), the seat comfort function of the corresponding seat will be automatically turned off to save energy;
