1June, 945, Ming Ding was transferred to the northeast. Farewell to the villagers, put on backpacks, and a cadre brigade consisting of 6,000 cadres embarked on a new journey with the main force of the Eighth Route Army. The motorcade passed through Longkou Port of Jiaodong Peninsula and took a wooden sailboat for ordinary people to fish. After experiencing the pain of bumps and vomiting, they arrived at Pikou Town in the northeast and devoted themselves to the struggle practice of the Northeast Liberation War.
Ding tomorrow morning became attached to music in his childhood. His two uncles are actors of the rural amateur Laiwu Bangzi Troupe, and they have taken him to participate in the activities of the troupe since childhood. In junior high school, he was the backbone of the school's student troupe, and later joined the Taishan Military Division to enter the drama club. Born with a good voice, he is an active singer and dancer. In order to save the emergency, he has disguised himself as a man several times. 1943, when he was 18 years old, he worked as a music teacher and head of a student troupe in xiaogaozhuang complete primary school in Yishui county, Yimeng mountain area, and completed his debut, singing and dancing "Land Reclamation" dance, and the students' performances were well received by the masses. After arriving in the northeast, according to his specialty, he was assigned to the Hejiang Provincial Art Troupe and the Art Troupe of the General Political Department of the Democratic Allied Forces as secretaries. 1September 1946 went to the Music Department of Lu Xun College of Literature and Art of Northeastern University for further study. Since then, he has been assigned to the 1st and 4th regiments of Lu Yi Cultural and Art Troupe as an actor, a member of a band, a composer and an organizational leader, and gradually took the leading position in the regiments. During the four years from 1945 to 1949, his footprints began in Ludapikou and he traveled to dozens of cities, counties and villages in Dongman, Beiman and Nanman. As the party's propaganda cadre, he made every effort to establish a new revolutionary base area in the northeast, mobilize the masses to clear bandits and oppose hegemony, carry out land reform and liberate the whole northeast. As a revolutionary literary fighter, he is not afraid of the cold and heat, singing songs everywhere, guiding the masses to dance yangko, participating in various performances, collecting living materials and folk songs for music creation, and dedicating his precious youth. During this period, his main works include: He Xinchun, Playing Chiang Kai-shek as Chess, Long Live the China Party, Autumn Harvest, Busy Mutual Production and other revolutionary mass songs; Yangko Opera Pushing a Car, Making Production (written by Xia Bin), Divide Floating Property (written by Zhang Geng), operetta Laogeng Tou (Wang Hua,) and Mutual Assistance and Cooperation (written by Dexin and Xiao Responsibility) have been well received by the masses.
After the victory of Liaoshen Campaign in June, 1948 1 1 the war to liberate the whole Northeast was all over. Four troupes and music groups of "Lu Yi" Art Troupe concentrated in Shenyang, and were ordered to resume running schools, and were named "Northeast Luxun College of Literature and Art". There are three departments of music, drama and art, each with a department, a research room, a group (or a factory) and a literature research room. Dance classes and libraries are directly under the hospital. Ming Ding served as assistant director of the Music Department and was promoted to lecturer. From then on, I began to devote myself to the higher music education in my motherland. At the same time, he launched an active period of all-round development in music creation, music theory and music social activities, seized all possible time and opportunities, expanded his knowledge field and strengthened the theoretical literacy and technical skills of the music industry.
As a composer, Ming Ding's creative activities were mainly in 1950s and 1960s. According to incomplete information (many of which have been lost), there are more than 200 works of different genres. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the works officially published mainly include: Attacking the Invaders, Beware of Mountain Fires, Visiting Chairman Mao, Chasing the Big Corrupt, Our Commander Peng, We Think of Chairman Mao, Song of Orchard, Crescent Moon, Good News, Good Scenery in Fishing Village, Morning with Flowers Blooming, etc. Children's songs Love the Motherland, Little Pigeon and Little Girl, Listening to the story told by the uncle of the People's Liberation Army, Children Busy Planting Trees, Little Trees Growing Up, etc. Solo songs such as Being the Master of Marriage, I Love My Hometown, My Hometown is at the Top of the Mountain, Pomegranate Flower Peony Red, Spring Rain, Chinese and Korean People are Brothers, Singing Zhang Zhixin Martyrs, Good Scenery on Both Sides of Linghe River, etc. Large-scale musical works mainly include: Chorus: Song of the Forest (composed by Qing), Victory Flowers Bloom Everywhere (composed by Huo Xiyang and the hijacker and China), and Flowers Bloom in March in Gangdu (composed by Yu Wen, Pu Lie, Huo Cunhui and Hao Rubao); Movie Music: Northeast China (Ci by Yan Chen and Pu Lie); Opera: On the Border (composed by Xu), Happy Days (composed by Wang Humble), etc. Some of the above works were commended by Liaoning Province, Northeast People's Government and Ministry of Culture. Some recorded records and were welcomed by the masses.
Ming Ding's music creation always follows the direction of serving the people and socialism, and the principles of "making the past serve the present", "making foreign things serve China" and "bringing forth the old and bringing forth the new", and adheres to the policy of building a socialist national music culture. His works have distinct characteristics of the times, nationality, mass and creative personality.
He always insists that life is the only source of creation. In 1950s, when he wrote "Forest Chorus", although he had just bid farewell to Baishan Heishui and came to Shenyang, he returned to Xiaoxing 'anling forest area twice, lived in a shed, experienced the life and labor scene of forestry workers, participated in possible labor and recorded the labor number. It was life that inspired him to use the creative methods of revolutionary romanticism and revolutionary realism to vividly write the past of forestry workers' suffering full of fantasy and legend, today full of pride and joy, and a beautiful future full of poetry and painting. 1960, when composing the oratorio "Flowers Bloom in March in Steel Capital", he led the creative team to Angang for several months. This work has been widely welcomed and praised in Anshan and Shenyang. After watching the performance in Liaoning Hall, Premier Zhou Enlai fully affirmed it. He said with satisfaction: "To praise the working class well, there should be more such works."
Ming Ding attaches great importance to and pursues the national style, local characteristics and popular forms of music works. In his creation, he widely absorbed the language characteristics and structural forms of folk songs, rap music, opera music and "Errenzhuan" music in North China and Northeast China. This vein can be seen in his works of various schools. At the same time, he did not stick to the original things and tried to give new and personalized treatment.
Ming Ding's creation has always kept pace with the times. This can be clearly seen from his catalogue of music works. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, works reflecting the four modernizations were created, such as praising the heroine Zhang Zhixin who would rather die than surrender in the struggle with the Gang of Four, and marching into scientific modernization.
Ming Ding said in the article "Remember Anbo, Learn Anbo" co-written with his affectionate comrades, "His contribution to the party's literary and artistic undertakings is beyond his personal literary and artistic creation". This sentence is also suitable for yourself. Ming Ding has always been enthusiastic about the guidance of popular music creation. As early as 1950s, he and zhufeng compiled and published a theoretical monograph "Song Practice Course" based on the lecture notes of the Composition Department of Northeast Conservatory of Music, guided by the dynamic reflection theory of Marxism-Leninism, combined with the creation and teaching practice of famous musicians at home and abroad, especially since the May 4th Movement, and referring to similar works. This book gives a popular and scientific explanation of the phenomenon of music creation, which has always been regarded as mysterious, so that readers can not only understand the rules and techniques of composition, but also increase their knowledge, enrich their musical literacy, deepen their understanding and appreciation of music, and be familiar with a large number of excellent music masterpieces. After the book was published, it was welcomed by the majority of music lovers and musicians, and was listed as an important teaching material and reference book by some music colleges and groups. The first and second editions are still in short supply. It is still a valuable academic monograph.
Although the organization and management work of Comrade Ming Ding is very heavy, due to his high revolutionary consciousness and sense of social responsibility, he has been working tirelessly for many years, starting from exploring the rules of music and then controlling music. He is the author of Creation and Tradition, Title and Content, Genre and Form, Professional Creation and Folk Music Team, More Diversified Themes, Genres, Forms and Styles of Music Works, Music Performing Arts Must Reflect the Socialist Spirit, Important Issues in the Current Music Life of the Masses, Talking about the Development and Perfection of Light Music, Developing Music Communication to Promote Music Prosperity, etc. ) is also the main field of Ming Ding, who published a large number of papers and made important contributions to the construction and development of China's music industry.
Ming Ding is an enthusiastic music social activist. Over the years, in addition to his own job, he has also held social positions in many local and even national literary and art societies and academic groups. Since 1950s, he has served as director, executive director, vice-chairman and chairman of Liaoning Branch of China Music Association. Member and Vice Chairman of Liaoning Federation of Literary and Art Circles. After smashing the Gang of Four, he was elected as the third, fourth director and executive director of the China Musicians Association. Nie Er, director of the Xian Xinghai Institution, is even employed as a consultant and honorary post by some institutions. He loves and is enthusiastic about the cause of these academic societies, actively participates in or presides over professional academic activities, and unites all comrades to make joint efforts. He is authorized to negotiate and promote the music cooperation activities among the three northeastern provinces, and is one of the main promoters, advocates and organizers. The regional large-scale music activities, such as "Summer in Harbin", "Changchun Concert" and "Shenyang Music Week", which three provinces took turns to participate in, greatly promoted the construction and prosperity of music culture, the discovery and cultivation of music talents, the summary and exchange of experience, and the friendship and unity of the music industry in the three northeastern provinces, and their influence spread all over the country. He was also invited to participate in large-scale music and dance programs such as Shanghai Spring, Yangcheng Music Flower Festival, Autumn in Jinan Spring City, Wuhan Qintai Concert, Lanzhou Concert in Northwest China, Beijing Music Festival, China Art Festival, and Summer in Dalian in North China. As a judge, I participated in the first national symphony music competition and the national instrumental music competition. Since 1950s, he has been the editorial board, deputy editor and editor-in-chief of Musical Life (including its predecessor, Selected New Songs in Northeast China). When he was the president of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, he personally founded Yuefu Xinsheng as the editor-in-chief and wrote a published speech on the occasion of celebrating its 45th anniversary. He was elected as the editor-in-chief of Modern Music History in Northeast China and History of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He was appointed as the editorial board of The Complete Works of Xian Xinghai, and was entrusted as the responsible editorial board of the September 18th Chorus. Editorial Committee of the National Encyclopedia Series "Contemporary China"; Editorial Committee member, deputy editor-in-chief of the National Editorial Committee of China National Instrumental Music Integration, editor-in-chief of Liaoning Volume, and one of the top ten integrated excellent books in the national art discipline; Art consultant of Student Music Dictionary (edited by China Children's Culture and Art Committee and other units); Art consultant of Liaoning TV Station; Special editor of Shenyang Publishing House. Over the years, I have continuously participated in various academic conferences and seminars related to the above positions in China, Northeast China and the province.
1983165438+1October, at the invitation of Japan Chinese Cultural Exchange Association, a six-member musician delegation sent by China Music Association and led by Vice Chairman Shi paid a two-week friendly visit and music inspection to Japan, and Ming Ding participated in all the activities as a member of the delegation. After returning to China, he published a series of articles in the monthly magazine Music Life, introducing the situation and gains of this visit. During the period of 1986- 10, at the invitation of the Musicians' Union of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Chinese Music Association sent a five-member musician delegation headed by Qu Xixian, Vice Chairman, and Ming Ding, Executive President, for a two-week friendly visit and music inspection to the DPRK, and participated in a series of activities to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Korean War in Chinese people's Volunteer Army. In all these social part-time jobs and music social activities, Ding Ming actively and enthusiastically contributed his wisdom and talent and did his duty. On the one hand, constantly absorbing a large number of multi-directional and multi-level music information from various channels and mechanisms is of great significance for constantly changing the reference coefficient of comparison, making better horizontal comparison, thus broadening the horizon and looking at the world, maintaining and improving the macro-sensitivity, systematicness and micro-profundity and accuracy of thinking, and exerting greater creativity and pioneering spirit in professional activities and leadership positions.
As a diligent music educator, Ding worked as a primary school music teacher in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in the early 1940s. In the decades since 1948, he has successively served as dean, education director and provost of Northeast Conservatory of Music and Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Later, he was once transferred from school to work in the Provincial Music Association for a period of time. However, in April 1979, the teachers and students of Shenyang Conservatory of Music excitedly welcomed Comrade Ming Ding, who had been away for many years, as the dean and party secretary of the college.
Ding Ming has a happy family, which laid a good foundation for him to devote himself to music work. He has four children under his knee. His eldest son, Lu Zhenping, has been farming in his hometown, and the other three are working outside the home, all of which have a successful career. After retirement, he was not immersed in the happiness of his family. He still serves as consultant of Liaoning Federation of Literary and Art Circles and honorary chairman of Liaoning Musicians Association, working hard. In 1996, Qian Shan Hua Le with more than 400,000 words was published. This book was written by Lv Ji, a famous musician (honorary chairman of Musicians in China), with Li Huanzhi, chairman of China Musicians Association, as the preface, and Li Ling, Zhao Feng and Sun Shen, vice-chairmen. Everyone spoke highly of the Selected Music of Ming Ding.
