Job responsibilities of licensed pharmacists

According to Articles 20 and 21 of the Interim Provisions on the Qualification System of Licensed Pharmacists, licensed pharmacists should strictly supervise and manage the quality of drugs within the scope of practice, participate in the formulation and implementation of total quality management of drugs, and deal with violations of their own units. In addition, licensed pharmacists are also responsible for the examination and supervision of prescriptions, providing medication consultation and information, guiding rational drug use, monitoring therapeutic drugs and evaluating drug efficacy.

Drug quality supervision and management

Licensed pharmacists should strictly supervise and manage the quality of drugs, participate in the formulation and implementation of total quality management of drugs, and deal with violations of regulations by their own units.

Prescription review, supervision and deployment

Licensed pharmacists should be responsible for the examination and supervision of prescriptions to ensure the rational use and safety of drugs.

Drug consultation and information provision

Licensed pharmacists need to provide medication consultation and information, provide patients with reasonable medication advice and answer medication questions.

Guide rational drug use

Licensed pharmacists need to guide rational drug use, help patients use drugs correctly, and reduce adverse reactions and drug interactions.

Drug monitoring and curative effect evaluation

Licensed pharmacists need to carry out therapeutic drug monitoring and drug efficacy evaluation, find and solve drug use problems in time, and improve the therapeutic effect.
