The library has established the information inquiry system of Beihua University Library, which is the window for readers of Beihua University to know the collection information and personal borrowing information of Beihua University Library. The contents include: bibliography inquiry, periodical index inquiry, reader information inquiry, new book release, order inquiry and information release. In 2002, the library purchased the TRS digital library application platform, which is in the leading position in the domestic literature digitization field, and built the master's degree thesis abstract database of Beihua University and the teaching reference book database of Beihua University.
In recent years, the work of the library has entered the track of institutionalized and standardized management. The library provides users with literature borrowing service, electronic literature resource reading service, audio-visual service and information service (including reference service, bibliography service, subject tracking service, inspection service, sci-tech novelty retrieval service, interlibrary loan and document delivery service, etc.). ) and modern technical services (including computer retrieval services, electronic literature reading services, copying and printing, tape copying, binding, plastic packaging, etc. ).
The library actively carries out reader education, offers literature retrieval courses for graduate students and undergraduates, teaches freshmen how to use the library, and regularly trains users on the use of electronic literature resources.
Libraries attach great importance to inter-library cooperation. In September, 2002, the library joined the China Higher Education Document Guarantee System (CALIS), participated in online cooperation projects, and jointly built a joint catalog database, thus realizing resource sharing under the network environment. We have established inter-library cooperation with Jilin University Library, Northeast Normal University Library and Tsinghua University Library.
This library is not only the document information center of the school, but also the document information service center in Jilin area. At present, it is open to the society and actively expands the service field. Provide information services for the economic construction in Jilin area.
From 2000 to 2009, seven annual academic conferences of Beihua University Library were held to carry out academic exchange activities.
