I just got back from Dunhuang. Dunhuang International Youth Hostel can provide shuttle bus agents (free of charge). The actual bus company is the carrier, and the vehicle type (not bus) is determined according to the number of applicants every day. It usually runs at 7 am and 2 pm. I suggest going in the afternoon, and you can watch the sunset.
