The Sixth People's Hospital of Wuhu City, the Second Medical Group of Wuhu City, is located in Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone, next to the beautiful Silver Lake, adjacent to the Development Zone Management Committee and the bustling Polka Street. It is the largest comprehensive modern hospital directly under the Municipal Health Bureau established in the north of the city according to the regional health planning. It is also a designated hospital for medical insurance, tuberculosis and new rural cooperative medical system in four districts and four counties and a commercial insurance reimbursement hospital. It was built in Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone by Wuhu Municipal People's Government according to the Ninth Five-Year Plan and the plan for setting up medical institutions in Wuhu. After completion, the hospital covers an area of 26,700 square meters, with a construction area of more than 50,000 square meters and nearly 500 beds. It is the largest modern comprehensive public hospital in the north of Wuhu, mainly serving the economic and technological development zone with first-class facilities.
Since our hospital officially joined the Second Medical Group of Wuhu City and became a branch of the Second Municipal Hospital, it has introduced talents, technology and management mode from the Second Municipal Hospital in an all-round way. More than 20 well-known experts in southern Anhui, all deputy directors and associate professors, have worked in our hospital for many years. Therefore, our hospital is affectionately praised as "the top three hospitals in China" by the residents in the north of the city. Our hospital has a beautiful environment, clean and orderly room layout, comfortable and convenient inpatient ward, and the newly-built pulmonary ward is spacious and bright, which embodies the people-oriented concept everywhere. The hospital implements computer networking management and "one-day list" system to let patients clearly understand consumption.
