Because the object of hospital service is patients, and some of them have special needs, such as: the old, the weak and the sick, including patients who are unfamiliar with the environment; A patient who is in a bad mood and particularly lonely in the ward. Therefore, it is required to be a hospital volunteer with good health, good psychological quality and certain moral norms. Therefore, it is necessary for full-time staff to interview and screen the applicants, understand their learning process, social experience and physical condition, and help them decide whether to be accompanying, visiting or helping each other according to their hobbies and specialties on the premise that they are suitable to play the role of hospital volunteers, and determine their own service hours, which fully reflects the voluntariness and autonomy of volunteer service.

The work content of voluntary service

1, daily work. We divide volunteers into three categories, namely, accompanying volunteers, visiting volunteers and patient support group volunteers. In the outpatient department, volunteers are escorted to queue up for registration, examination, charge and medicine collection for the elderly and infirm patients, and patients who are unfamiliar with the hospital environment are guided and even accompanied throughout. In the ward, visiting volunteers are divided into three groups, namely, regular visits, directional visits and special visits. Regular visits are mainly to greet and care for patients and wish them a speedy recovery; Directional visits are mainly composed of volunteers who used to be patients, mainly introducing patients' experiences, feelings and healing process, playing the role of self-display and encouraging patients to establish confidence; Special diagnosis is mainly aimed at patients with depression and special depression. You can visit them many times, give them psychological counseling, explanation and comfort, so that they can gradually build up their confidence and courage to fight the disease and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment. Among them, the sources of special consultation are mainly routine and directional visits of volunteers and referrals of medical staff. Group volunteers participate in group activities organized by social work departments and composed of similar patients to improve patients' self-help and mutual rescue ability.
