First of all, as the manager of early education institutions, we must be clear that each child comes from a different family, and the parents' economic conditions, background, personality characteristics, work nature and living habits are different. Kindergartens should respect the opinions of each parent when communicating. In addition to face-to-face communication, there should be written, direct, formal or informal ways to open up various communication channels, which can help to understand every parent. Here are some suggestions to improve communication with parents:
1. First visit to the garden
Usually, the impression of parents going to the early education center for the first time is the key to influence whether parents let their children enroll in classes. The early education park should not only let parents know about the environment in the park, but also let the visiting parents have a pleasant experience, so as to understand the teaching concept and mode of the early education center.
Of course, in the process of showing parents around, the most important thing is to have an interactive dialogue with parents, listen to parents' educational ideas about their children, and explain the questions raised by parents in more detail, so that both sides can reach an understanding and parents can better understand whether their needs can be realized here.
2. Contact parents before the class starts.
Before class, parents who have visited the park can be invited by phone to visit the park again. The director, teachers or consultants carefully introduce the services in the park, experience the courses, and further discuss and explain related cooperation matters with parents, so as to build mutual trust and prepare parents and children for adaptation.
3. Parents handbook
The early education center should prepare a complete parent handbook and send it to parents when their children enter the park. The purpose of the parents' handbook is to help parents have a complete understanding of the early education center and let them know what they need to cooperate with this semester. Parents' Handbook should be adjusted or revised every semester to meet the management concept of the garden and the needs of parents, and parents with different education levels should also be considered in the content expression.
4. Course briefing session
The purpose of the briefing session is to provide opportunities for parents to interact with the early education center, so that parents can know about their children's situation in the park, as well as the service matters, curriculum planning, teaching characteristics and art courses in the park. The discussion time should not be too long, and 60~80 minutes is the best.
5. Parent-teacher conference
Each class can be a group of several parents for teaching visits or discussions. For example, the early education park can combine teaching themes with festivals. In addition to showing children's works and performances, parents can also communicate on parenting and children's learning.
6. Telephone interview
Most parents may be very busy at work at ordinary times, and it is difficult to arrange the time for visiting relatives. The early education park can let the head teacher call back every week to let parents know, record the children's learning and family performance, and also care for the members who are usually ignored.
7. Make daily service records.
Record your child's usual or special performance at any time. Teachers can use electronic files, tape recorders or cameras to record them at any time, so that parents can see their children's learning achievements through books they contact daily, or collections of works arranged at the end of the term, or assembled CDs.
