What do you mean, have a weekend?
It's raining hard.
(Excerpted from Sohu News)
The Perseid meteor shower will arrive at the weekend, and China is in an ideal observation position.
The annual Perseid meteor shower will come on August 13. Astronomical experts say that the rain in Perseus is similar every year, but this year's "rain" trend is different.
According to experts from Guangdong Astronomical Society, this year's Perseid meteor shower has four characteristics:
First, the meteor shower in the heyday of Perseid meteor shower this year happened to fall on the vast land of our Chinese nation.
In fact, China is in an ideal observation position.
Second, 13 August is the ninth day of the seventh lunar month, and there is no moonlight influence in early morning observation. When the night sky is clear, you can see bright stars and foggy galaxies, which is very beneficial to observe the Perseid meteor shower. Last year and the year before last, the Perseid meteor shower was greatly reduced by moonlight.
Third, August 13 coincides with Saturday, and it is a public holiday for two consecutive days. This is also a rare occasion. So, it doesn't hurt to watch it all night.
Fourth, Mars accompanied us to observe the Perseid meteor shower in the early morning. Mars will be in Aries then.
Ze is fiery red, and the brightness is minus 0.7, which is brighter than Vega. Saturn is located in Cancer with a brightness of 0.3, which is brighter than Altair and rises in the east three hours earlier than the sun. Sirius is the brightest star in Canis Canis and the brightest star in the night sky.
Experts pointed out that the best observation time this year is from 0: 00 am to before dawn on August 13. It is estimated that more than 100 bright meteors will break through the dark night sky in the early morning.
Before six o'clock, Guangzhou can "retreat"
