(China Petrochemical Shengli Oilfield Geological Research Institute Core Management Room)
At present, a large number of physical core data are stored in the core library of Shengli Oilfield in China Petrochemical Company. Due to the lack of relevant restraint mechanism in core management, core data are lost to some extent. Core observation sampling is an important content of core management and the main form to realize core use value. In recent years, in view of many problems existing in core observation sampling, the core management office has carried out research on core management mode, established a set of perfect core observation sampling management system, developed a core management system, realized the standardized, programmed and networked operation of the system, standardized the approval, review and report return of core observation sampling, and further improved the work efficiency and core management level.
Keywords core management observation and application sampling system
Preface of 0
Core is valuable first-hand information in oil and gas field exploration and development. Core observation sampling is an important content of core management and the main form to realize core use value. Through core observation and sampling, researchers can analyze the sedimentary environment of the formation, understand the oil generation and storage capacity of the formation, and study the geological characteristics such as pore structure of the reservoir, thus providing real and sufficient scientific basis for oilfield exploration and development. At present, the core library of Shengli Oilfield in China Petrochemical Company stores a large number of physical core data, and the core management and processing level is at the leading level in China, which has played an important role in the exploration, development, storage and production increase of Shengli Oilfield.
1
In order to better serve the scientific research and production of oil fields and protect the physical data of cores, the core management office has formulated corresponding methods and standards in core management and application, which has changed the core management from extensive to restrictive. In recent years, with the deepening of exploration and development, new problems and contradictions have emerged in core management, mainly manifested in the imperfect supervision system for core observation and sampling, repeated sampling from time to time, and even core depletion in some coring wells. What is important is that the return rate of cores or samples after leaving the warehouse is small, and the experimental report can not be submitted in time, which makes the core data suffer a certain degree of loss. This is mainly due to the lack of relevant restraint mechanisms. In addition, core information query and storage reservation cannot be made online, and core sampling is difficult to be automatically counted, so the work efficiency is low.
2 solutions
In recent years, in view of many problems existing in core observation sampling, such as nonstandard examination and approval procedures, repeated sampling, untimely return of samples and analysis reports, etc., on the basis of extensive investigation and in combination with the relevant regulations of the Administration, the Core Management Office has carried out research on core management mode and established a set of perfect core observation sampling management system, aiming at solving the above problems through the implementation of the system. The specific work mainly includes the compilation of core observation and sampling management regulations, the establishment of core observation and sampling workflow, the development and application of core management system, etc. The standardized, programmed and networked operation of the system has been realized, and the core management level of Shengli Oilfield has been further improved.
2. 1 Formulate regulations on core observation and sampling management
According to the core management method, the core observation sampling management regulations are written, requiring users to make an appointment and approve the warehousing observation sampling, and submit the corresponding analysis report in time after the sample analysis is completed. The main contents of the Ordinance are as follows:
1) The applicant holds a letter of introduction from the company to make an appointment in the core management room, and fills in the approval form as required.
2) The applicant shall submit the letter of introduction and approval form of the unit and submit it to the superior competent department for examination and approval. After examination and approval, the letter of introduction and approval form shall be submitted to the core management office for the record, and the core management personnel shall arrange warehousing according to the order of examination and approval.
3) The Approval Form for Core Observation of Oilfield Internal Units is submitted to the Production Management Department of Geological Research Institute for examination and approval after preliminary examination by the Core Management Office; The Approval Form for Units Outside the Oilfield shall be submitted to the Exploration Department of the Branch for approval after being reviewed by the Production Management Department of the Geological Research Institute.
4) The Sample Sampling Approval Form shall be submitted to the Production Management Department of Geological Institute for examination and approval after preliminary examination by the Core Management Office, and then submitted to the Exploration Department of the Branch for examination and approval.
5) The collection of large samples and core samples from key wells shall be reported to the Production Management Department of the Academy of Geological Sciences for examination and approval after preliminary examination by the Core Management Office, and then to the competent leaders of the Exploration Department and the Branch for examination and approval.
6) After core sampling, the sampler shall fill in the core sampling form in duplicate, which shall be kept by the sampler and the core management office respectively. The core management personnel shall inspect the samples according to the sampling list, and the samples can only be delivered out of the warehouse after being signed by the competent leader of the core management room.
7) The system of "excellent company in data use" is adopted for core observation and sampling, and the user returns the experimental analysis report and remaining samples in time, which is regarded as "excellent company in data use" and can continue to use core data. Otherwise, the core data will be stopped.
8) Return the remaining core samples within 4 months, and submit the experimental analysis report and electronic documents to the core management room. The experimental analysis report must be stamped with the seal of national metrology certification and the official seal of the analysis department. The report and its electronic documents shall be submitted in accordance with the archives management regulations and database format requirements of Shengli Oilfield.
It can be seen that this regulation can better solve the problems existing in core observation and sampling, such as irregular approval, repeated sampling and untimely filing of reports, and further standardize core management. After being approved by the higher authorities, the regulation was promulgated and implemented through blackboard newspaper and internet, and achieved good results.
2.2 Establish core observation and sampling warehousing workflow.
In order to facilitate users' warehousing work, the core observation and sampling workflow is established on the basis of compiling regulations (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
Figure 1 Core observation and sampling warehousing management process
Figure 1 shows the whole process from core reservation to sample delivery. After the user makes an appointment, the work will be approved step by step according to the work content. The work will be put into the warehouse with the approval form, and the core sample form will be submitted and then released. Figure 2 shows that after the sample analysis is completed, the user carries the analysis report and sampling list to file the report.

2.3 Development of Core Management System
In order to improve the core utilization rate and strengthen the core observation and sampling management, a core management system was developed according to the specified requirements. The system is mainly composed of core data entry and query, core appointment and approval, sample management and other functions, which realizes digital management and network query of core data, thus further improving office efficiency.
2.3. 1 user management
Users can apply for the real-name registration system by using Sinopec mailbox, and the system administrator can check and confirm before logging into the system.
Core query
After logging into the system, users can query the basic data of the core object according to the actual work needs (Figure 3). The system supports fuzzy query, and can query by well name, oilfield and horizon. For the convenience of users, the system also sets advanced query options, and users can query by coring year, interval and lithology. Single well query can display all the data of the well, including core, cuttings and sidewall coring data, test data, core image, etc.

Core retention
According to the restrictions, the system checks whether the user has the reservation right. Constraints include: whether the user IP and company match; The user has no bad record; On the day of appointment, these restrictions are used to judge whether the user can make an appointment normally. If the appointment cannot be made normally, the reason why the appointment cannot be made will be displayed. Before the user starts to make an appointment, the appointment description (Figure 4) is displayed, and the appointment can only be made after the user agrees. There are three kinds of appointment registration: internal registration, cooperative registration and external registration. System audit conditions include: whether there is data; The system is good; Analysis project; Sampling conditions. If the approval conditions are met, an appointment form will be generated and printed. If it does not meet the requirements, it will prompt the content of the project that does not meet the requirements, and generate an appointment form after filtering some of the content that does not meet the requirements according to the user's selection, or the user will re-select the appointment. For the interval that has been sampled and analyzed, the location where the data is stored shall be indicated.

Online approval
Those who make a successful reservation will submit the reservation form to the relevant units for approval, and the units with approval authority will issue instructions step by step online. The approval form will show the system's review of core sample sampling, which provides an important reference for the approver's decision. Generally speaking, it must be approved by the core management department first, and then by the production management department, the competent exploration or development unit and the competent leaders of the branch company.
2.3.5 Appointment arrangement
After the user has passed the approval of the relevant company, the system will display the approval process for the user. After all the approvals are completed, the core management personnel will arrange the warehousing time according to the actual work, and users can log in to the system at any time to query warehousing information. If the warehousing time has been determined, various precautions in warehousing work will be displayed to the user. When users enter the warehouse at the specified time, they should submit a letter of introduction and an appointment form as required.
2.3.6 Sample review
Before the approval form is formed, the system will automatically review the number of sampling blocks and analysis items required by users. Sample audit is an important link, and the system will automatically query the corresponding sampling information of the selected well to judge the rationality of user sampling. Sampling has the following requirements: ① The wells that have been sampled systematically are not allowed to be sampled again except for new projects. ② Items analyzed at the same depth are not allowed to be sampled repeatedly. Based on the above requirements, the following specific audit methods are proposed:
1) Full cylinder audit. When both old and new projects are selected, the old project should be handled.
2) Maximum sampling density: oil sands 10 block/m; Ordinary sandstone is 3 blocks/meter, and mudstone is treated as 1 block/meter.
3) When sampling is saturated, the number of sampling blocks shall follow the following principles: ① Sampling is not allowed for the analysis items that have been done. (2) Unseen analysis items, 1 block /m ..
4) When the sampling is not saturated, the principle of encouraging new projects and reducing old projects should be adopted: ① When all samples are analyzed, the corresponding number of recoverable blocks: a. When the recoverable allowance is less than or equal to the whole meter of the barrel, the number of recoverable blocks is less than or equal to the recoverable allowance; B if the recoverable allowance is greater than the whole meter of the barrel, the number of recoverable blocks is less than or equal to the whole meter of the barrel. (2) When this sampling is all the items that have not been analyzed, the corresponding number of recoverable blocks: a. When the recoverable allowance is less than or equal to the whole meter of the barrel, the number of recoverable blocks is less than or equal to the whole meter of the barrel; B if the recoverable allowance is greater than the whole meter of the barrel, the number of recoverable blocks is less than or equal to the recoverable allowance.
5) Two conditions are set for sampling large core samples: ① 1 block /2m, and the number of sampling blocks is converted: the number of meters is divided by 2 and rounded off. (2) Take only unfinished projects.
6) Small samples of key wells with the same lithology have not been put into production, and only new projects are allowed. The number of small samples in key wells cannot exceed the whole meter of this lithology at most.
7) The remaining meters are converted into blocks: oil sands 1m 10; Sandstone block1m3; Mudstone block 1m 1. The sample delivery form is calculated according to the actual length of the sample; Small samples in the sampling table are counted as 1 block and 10cm, while large samples are counted as actual length.
It can be seen that the principle of encouraging new projects and protecting key wells is mainly adopted in sample audit, aiming at maintaining the long-term use of cores by limiting the number of unnecessary samples. Of course, these methods will be constantly improved in the application to better meet the needs of users.
Sample return
After the analysis report is completed, users can log in to the reservation system to submit the analysis report in advance for acceptance, and determine the corresponding warehousing return time. If the user does not return the core sample, or the sample analysis report is not confirmed, the system will remind the user to handle the core homing work.
The development and application of core management system is an important measure to strengthen core observation and sampling, which is completed on the basis of fully investigating the current situation and standard system of core management in oil fields. The purpose is to realize the standardized management of core network and improve the digital management level of oilfield cores through advanced network design and development, so as to better play the role of physical data such as cores and provide quality services for oilfield exploration and development.
3 the effect of implementation
The Management Regulations on Core Observation and Sampling was approved and issued in August, 20 10, and implemented in September, 20 10. In the past four years, the new regulations have been strictly implemented in the rock room, so that the remaining samples and core analysis reports can be returned in time and the core data can be protected. Do a good job of filing the core analysis report, realize data sharing, and effectively reduce the phenomenon of repeated core sampling and analysis. The development of core management system makes the management and use of core data networked, which further improves the work efficiency and core management level.
