I am a senior in Hechi University. Most of my major students will become geography teachers. A friend of mine enrolled in our high school. I also have a junior who likes this major very much, so he chose to change his major. This major is quite attractive.

According to the survey data, geographical science plays a very important role in the current social development. The national top-level strategy of "Belt and Road" has been supported by geographers. At present, the whole world is facing a series of problems such as resource utilization, urban construction and environmental protection. The employment direction of this major is relatively narrow, and there are the following employment directions:

1, government department or institution. The employment direction of geography graduates is mainly government civil servants and institutions, such as local meteorological bureau, Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, Water Affairs Bureau, Seismological Bureau, Planning Bureau, Tourism Bureau and other government departments or institutions related to geography.

2. Middle school teachers. At present, normal colleges and universities are the main universities offering geographical science majors, so middle school teachers are also one of the important employment directions. High school geography teachers and junior high school geography teachers are the main employment directions for graduates of normal universities, and graduates of key normal universities are quite popular.
