With the joint efforts of Yue Hu and his colleagues, the International Finance Building project has made outstanding achievements in urban design, architectural design, engineering technology and commercial development. After the completion of the project, it has achieved social and economic benefits and become a new landscape in Beijing. Its architectural image was set as the main scene in the Beijing Olympic bid film directed by Zhang Yimou, and was selected as the background wall of China's Olympic bid booth in Sydney Olympic Games. Now, the design team led by Yue Hu is nervously planning and designing the Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center. With the opening of architectural design market, the competition among brands, technologies and talents is becoming more and more fierce. In order to better adapt to the market competition, Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute has reformed the studio mode with independent marketing ability, and "Yuehu Studio" has become one of the earliest brand studios established by the design institute. At the beginning of studio reform, some people had doubts about the independent management of professional and technical personnel, while others were worried that it would affect the development of professional and technical personnel. Based on years of architectural design experience and understanding of the domestic and international architectural design market, Yue Hu realized the disadvantages of the old organizational production form, and after careful consideration, he resolutely took the lead in provoking the burden of the studio. More than a year passed, Yuehu Studio completed the construction drawing design of Wukesong Gymnasium, won the first prize in the supporting facilities design competition of Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center, and completed the preliminary design of supporting facilities of 292,000 square meters and the construction drawing design of the underground part under the condition of tight time and no income for the time being. At the same time, they also completed the approval of the overall planning of Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center and the preliminary planning of medium-sized theaters, art galleries and China Standard Institute.
Be an architect with social responsibility. Yue Hu has always encouraged himself by this, and silently practiced this promise in his work. He believes that there are several kinds of architects, and the highest level should be the one with strong sense of social responsibility, among which the most prominent representative is Master Liang Sicheng. Every time I think of what Master Liang Sicheng has done for the inheritance of China architectural culture, it always arouses infinite reverence. For the Beijing International Finance Building, which can be said to make Yuehu famous, later people are often surprised by its "grand slam" achievements, but rarely see the heavy contribution behind the honor. Looking back now, Yue Hu is still filled with emotion. This is his first big project as a scheme designer and project host. Besides being excited about such an important project, he is really a little nervous. At that time, the construction period was very tight, and there were only three architects in the whole design team. None of the old comrades could use computers. All the drawings are basically drawn by myself. He still remembers that due to Party A's request to submit the revised scheme after the Spring Festival, he spent the Spring Festival of 1996 in the computer room of the design institute alone, painting for several days in a row, not only physically exhausted, but also mentally lonely. Fortunately, Party A gave the designer full trust. Yue Hu said that the more Party A trusts you, the higher the requirements will be. I often have to run to the construction site once a day and at least three times a week. Many times, when I get off the plane, I will run to the construction site with my luggage. "Architects should be responsible for their own works. In addition to careful planning and construction drawings, staring at the construction site is definitely a second creation. " After the construction drawing was completed, Yue Hu went to the United States to visit relatives, but he was always worried about this project. Faced with returning to work or staying abroad for gilding, he chose to come back-"The International Finance Building is like my own child to me, and I really can't bear to part with it. Since you have done it, you must do it decently, you can't make do with it, and you can't get along emotionally. " 1986 After graduating from university, Comrade Yue Hu participated in the design of the National Olympic Sports Center for the Asian Games. In the overall design of this project, Yue Hu's double-deck roof scheme for gymnasium and swimming pool solves the weakness of the original scheme, making the newly designed roof have both the charm of traditional big roof and the sense of the times. The double-deck roof scheme has played a great role in the design success of the sports center. Subsequently, under the leadership of Ma, the chief designer of the project, stairs with ramps were designed for the first time in China, making it convenient and smooth for the disabled to go up and down the stairs.
199 1 year, Yue Hu designed the swimming pool of Morocco National Sports Center as the scheme creator and project host. The project adopted the advanced domestic CAD 3D technology at that time, and won the excellent architectural design award of young and middle-aged architects in the second Architects Cup. 1996 Comrade Yue Hu participated in the design of Beijing International Finance Building. Following the International Finance Building, Comrade Yue Hu designed the second phase of Wangjing Science Park and Qinhuangdao Gymnasium. Among them, Qinhuangdao Gymnasium adopts the roof system of double-layer tensioned membrane roof and metal roof. According to the different functional requirements of the gymnasium, the two kinds of roofs are suitable for different parts and skillfully combined together. This roof system is not only beautiful in appearance, but also solves the acoustic problems of buildings and saves a lot of lighting electricity.
Since 2003, as the chief designer of the project, Comrade Yue Hu has designed Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center, one of the main venues of the Beijing Olympic Games. It is the first comprehensive gymnasium built according to NBA standards in China, and its internal functional configuration and facilities requirements have no precedent in China.
The renovation of Shanghai Qingpu Gymnasium and Training Hall completed in 2008 is an urban renewal project. In this project, Comrade Yue Hu creatively used completely recyclable chemical synthetic materials as exterior wall materials, and achieved good results.
Yue Hu presided over the design of the gymnasiums and swimming pools of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center and International Expo Center. The building is large in scale and complex in function. In particular, it is in a leading position in China to optimize complex three-dimensional modeling by using international advanced parametric design software.
While completing the design task, Comrade Yue Hu has published more than ten papers in various academic journals. His works were selected for the first China Architectural Art Biennale in 2004 and the Shenzhen Architectural Biennale in 2005. In 2008, he participated in the World Architecture Festival held in Barcelona, and in 2009, his works were invited to participate in the frontier exhibition of contemporary architecture in China held in Europa. Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center is not only one of the important venues for hosting the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing, but also a cultural and sports park with unique effect, high efficiency and strong adaptability to serve the citizens in western Beijing in the future. This project was originally the plan of foreign architects, and Yue Hu led his design team to cooperate with the construction drawings. For various reasons, he didn't get the design fee at first, and Yue Hu didn't care about the gains and losses in interests. He also told everyone that the construction of Olympic venues is a matter for the country, Beijing and all of us. Since we are allowed to do it, we must devote ourselves to doing our best. With the progress of the project, the external scheme was optimized, and Yue Hu led the technicians to launch a new round of creation. Architect You Peng Ya said, "I really don't know what happened during that time. Everyone put all their energy into working overtime day and night. Hu is always the hardest one. He comes first and leaves last every day. He is often busy for more than ten hours. " At the beginning of April 2008, a set of high-standard preliminary design was finally completed. In May, according to the needs of the situation, a new round of adjustment was made to the Olympic project, which meant that the newly completed plan had to be started again, and everyone's hard work was in vain, which was unacceptable to many architects ideologically. Yue Hu was not discouraged. While doing everyone's ideological work, he led everyone's work, taking adjustment as an opportunity to optimize the design. Through the rational use of technology and materials, the new scheme is more concise, more economical, more convenient for construction and future use. In this way, everyone's mood gradually calmed down, and a new scheme that is more applicable and can meet the requirements of all parties is presented to everyone again.
