Dayun Temple in Childhood Memories

In the history of Zouping, Dayun Temple was once famous for its Buddhist name, and the temple fair was well known. Good men and women came one after another, and the incense lasted for thousands of years. Now, the temple ruins have long since disappeared; Temple culture gradually faded out of people's memory. However, Dayun Temple will always be engraved in my childhood memory. Loud temple bells once resounded through vilen's hometown and village; Often accompanied by a wisp of homesickness rippling in my heart.

? Dayun Temple is located in Sanli East of Lan Zhi Licun Village in Mingji Town, one mile northwest of Jiejia Village, east-west, next to a winding ancient road. According to historical records, the temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty. Jin Si compound covers an area of 25 mu. Shanmen, Bell and Drum Tower, Tianwang Hall, Ursa Major Hall, East and West Wing, Monk House and backyard are all available. There is a big stone platform in the south of the temple, and the temple produces dozens of acres of land. According to historical records, during the reign of Wu Zetian, the monk Huaiyi and Faming presented the Great Cloud Sutra to appeal to his liking, encouraging Wu Zetian to claim the title of emperor, saying, "Today's virgin, Maitreya is born, and he is honored as Jambu-Di^pa". Wu Zetian, the master of Wu Zetian, used the statement of the Great Cloud Sutra to officially claim the title of emperor in 690 AD, becoming the first queen of China for the first time, and changing the title of the country. Zouping's Dayun Temple was probably built during this period. Later generations rebuilt, and the incense lasts forever. According to "Zouping County Records", "During the Republic of China, there were gentry Han Chunyi and others. Dayun Temple initiated the establishment of a Buddhist community with 50 members, who met regularly to worship Buddha and recite scriptures. Members wear a circular emblem. "

? Starting from my home in Lan Zhi, I walked about 8 miles northeast along the winding ancient road, and then I arrived at my grandmother's barn. When I was a child, I liked to go to my mother's house. There are three reasons: first, my uncle in his 50 s is a good cook, and the dishes he makes are delicious, which always makes me feel very satisfied; Second, every time I am full of wine and rice, my uncle who is proficient in literature and ink will light a hookah and tell me various historical stories. I often twist the paper, light a hookah for the old man and listen to him with relish to quench his thirst. Fan Zhongyan's "breaking the shackles with porridge" and "donating money to the temple"; Ouyang Xiu's mother's inspirational stories, such as Drawing a Godchild, will never be forgotten by me. Third, you must go through the mysterious Dayun Temple, where you can run into the temple, get on the big stage, know what happened and have fun. I remember that there is an ancient willow beside the ancient road near Dayun Temple, and three people can be surrounded by it. There is a bottomless hole in the trunk. Next to Guliu, there is a stone well with clear water. Legend has it that a python often sticks its head into a stone well from a tree hole to drink water, but its tail has not yet emerged from the tree hole. I estimate that this python is at least two feet long. Although he was afraid, he was more curious and thought, "What does that python look like? Can you eat people? " I've always wanted to see it, but I never saw it. A mottled stone tablet next to the stone path tells the origin of Dayun Temple. The inscription was recorded in classical Chinese. I was enlightened at the age of five and recited the Analects of Confucius for a year. With this bottom product, I tried to find out what the inscription said several times. Finally, I understood the general meaning. A wandering monk fell asleep under an ancient willow tree. Suddenly, the thunder was deafening. When the awakened monk looked up, he saw dark clouds gathering. Looking intently, I saw an oolong, walking on clouds and making waves. Just at that moment, the monk drew a whip from his waist to draw it into the clouds, so the dragon broke its tail and its tail floated down and became a temple. Clouds are clear, the sun is shining, red walls and golden tiles, but the solemn Dayun Temple stands tall in front of us. Is that really the case? My young mind is often confused about this. Therefore, in my life, I have always had a sense of mystery about Dayun Temple.

? I go to the temple to worship Buddha with adults and play with children. I went in and out of Dayun Temple dozens of times in my childhood. Remember, entering the mountain gate is the temple of the king; This is dedicated to a Maitreya Buddha. Maitreya, shirtless and naive; Having a big belly and a big smile will always bring happiness to people. Unlike the four heavenly kings next to them, they are hideous and creepy. So in front of other Buddha statues, adults often pinch their necks and make me kowtow. Only when I see Maitreya, will I consciously want to kowtow, because seeing him naturally makes me feel happy. Behind it is the Ursa Mahayana Hall, which is dedicated to Sakyamuni. At that time, my mother just got married, and my grandmother was looking forward to having grandchildren early. She came here several times to pray and make a wish, and then she got me. So every year on June 6th, at the temple fair, my grandma would bring me here to make a wish. I didn't want to kneel, but my grandmother just grabbed my neck and knelt down to kowtow. At that time, I often thought,' Is this fairy really that smart?' .

? In the north of the temple, there is a bell tower. Hanging a big clock weighs 1000 pounds. The loud bell often floats on the green Yuan Ye, solemn, solemn, deep and sweet; The sound is endless. That is a symbol of hometown. After working in the field for decades, whenever homesickness comes to mind, the sweet bell of Dayun Temple ripples from my heart.

? In the south of the temple, symmetrical with the bell tower is the Buddhist Scripture Building. There are many scriptures hidden in it; Of course, The Great Cloud Classic is a must-read book here. I once asked my grandfather about Dayunjing and Dayunsi. He is one of the first 50 members of Zouping Buddhist Association. He believes in Buddhism. Looks like Maitreya. He said that the Great Cloud Sutra tells a story: Jingguang Tiannv once heard the Great Nirvana Sutra in the same-sex lamp Buddha, and later she was born as a mortal when Sakyamuni Buddha was alive, and once again heard the profound meaning of Buddhism. Although she was a woman, she later became a king and got a quarter of the territory under the leadership of the wheel king, educating men, women and children in urban and rural areas to get rid of all kinds of Jaken and dissidents and become a bodhisattva.

? Looking up information, it is pointed out in Old Tang Book and New Tang Book. The Great Cloud Sutra was fabricated by Xue Huaiyi and other monks to cater to Wu Zetian, and later books also responded to it. Chen Yinke, a master of modern Chinese studies, believes that Wu Zetian's claim to be emperor with female body violates the traditional Confucian cultural concept in China, and she can only find the basis from Buddhist scriptures. The prediction that the female bodhisattva is the wheel saint king in Dayun Sutra is just right for her. Chen Yinque believes that the Great Cloud Sutra and the Great Nirvana Sutra actually came from Tianzhu and were introduced to China through the Temple of Heaven, which was not artificially forged. Du Doucheng, a contemporary Buddhist, recorded the whole process of Beiliang's translation of classics in detail in his book On Beiliang's Translation of Classics. He clearly pointed out that Dayun Jing was translated into Dunhuang by Dharmaksema, an ancient Indian, in Beiliang around 422 AD. When Wu Zetian awarded the Great Cloud Sutra, it had existed for more than 260 years. In a word, The Great Cloud Sutra came from India and was translated by Beiliang. Universiade Sutra is true, and Universiade Sutra Shu Shu is an innovative article explaining Universiade Sutra.

"Zouping County Records" records: "Every year on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, it is the Dayun Temple Temple Fair, which lasts for five days. During the temple fair, good men and women burned incense and prayed, merchants gathered and acrobatics were finished. Troupes from Laoling and Jiyang are often invited to perform Bangzi Opera and Peking Opera. Hebei Wuqiao Acrobatic Troupe is sometimes invited to perform at the meeting. Folk artists of casual arts compete to set up stalls to sell 1948 temple fairs. " On the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, shortly after the wheat harvest, steamed white steamed bread at home dipped in sesame sauce, and an egg just fished out of the chicken nest was put in noodle soup. After eating and drinking enough, grandma led us to Dayun Temple to catch the temple fair, and the crowd was in an endless stream. At the temple fair, people came and went, bustling. Zhang Mei became gloomy and sweated shoulder to shoulder. Melon, pear, peach, chicken, duck and fish, whole grains, radish, green vegetables; Cold noodles, millet bean jelly, roasted beef, various snacks: antique calligraphy and painting, Four Treasures of the Study; Noodles, sugar people, big rock sugar dipped in acid, Zhoucun biscuits, windmills and livestock trading markets are all visible main open spaces. In the meantime, jugglers, artists, storytellers and dog skin plasters are all noisy. On the big stage, gongs and drums are playing, and the wonderful Monkey King Thrice Defeats the Skeleton Demon is being staged. I only heard applause and cheers. In the distance, Wuqiao's acrobatic performance attracted many children who loved watching. It's also very pleasant to eat rock candy with acid in one hand and a windmill in the other, and watch acrobatic performances with relish.

? At the temple fair, the most discordant thing that scares children most is' calling the street to go first'. Mostly a middle-aged man, with bare arms, took a bright kitchen knife and cut it off from his bare head. Suddenly, his face was covered with blood. He shouted' Street' and reached out for money from stall owners and pedestrians. Bloody-terrible; Strong and healthy limbs, not with their own labor in exchange for food and clothing, but hurt their own bodies to beg-sad and hateful. Children are often scared to get around and run around.

? In front of Dayun Temple, there is a lot of traffic and bustle. Devoted men and women huddled in two halls to burn incense and pray. The hall, the Great Hall of Heroes, is crowded with people. The Ursa Major Hall is also called Sanbao Hall; As the saying goes,' Everything belongs to the Sanbaotang', and the faithful men and women who come to burn incense and kowtow are in an endless stream. They are bound to come for something, and the Bodhisattva is' responsive'. To take care of people's birth and death, weddings and funerals, boys and girls; It's too difficult to help others solve disasters. Remember to pray for rain after a long drought, the funeral of the rich, ..., and do everything. I remember a little playmate, the only child in the family. His parents regard him as the apple of their eye, but he is sickly. His family was afraid that he would not live long. In order to live a long life, they came out of the crotch of monk Anle in Dayun Temple and recognized Anle as their master. So, his little playmates nicknamed him' Little Monk'. Maybe it really worked, and this hour's playmate not only survived; Besides, he is nearly eighty years old and still alive. It seems that Bodhisattva should also take care of trivial matters on earth. Exactly: Buddha shines brightly, is responsive and conscientious, and is a Huize person. "So many people, so many things, he can tube? Can't Zhang Guan Dai Li manage mistakes? " I often think so naively.

? When I went to the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha, my grandmother taught me again and again that when I worship Buddha, I should put my hands together, bow to the end, kneel down, palm down first, then backhand, palm up and kowtow; Every time you kowtow, you have to knock three times in a row. The old mage wearing a yellow Gaza knocks on his chin, and the cigarette fills the air, forming a rather mysterious atmosphere. I'm not a Buddhist. One year, when I went to visit my relatives in the United States, my daughter warned me, "Dad, if Americans ask about your beliefs, you should say that you believe in Buddhism. If you don't believe in anything, people will look down on you. " At that time, I still couldn't figure out that atheists were the greatest. Later, I gradually understood that if people have no faith, they will be fearless and easily lose their moral bottom line; Therefore, the American concept is not unreasonable. However, they think that everyone should have faith, and without faith, he is not a person, which is a bit too much.

? 1948, Universiade Temple Fair was abolished. 1950, the vacant Dayun Temple was once used as a food station-a beef slaughterhouse. After the food station moved away, nobody took care of it. Dayun Temple has thick bricks and solid wood; The villagers' waste utilization destroyed all the bricks and wood in the temple, and the temple was empty.

Long tail, big clouds floating; The Millennium temple is gone. Since then, Dayun Temple has never been seen on this land again.
